One *MILLION* is such a lonely number…

No, this is not the newest release from Roxette and not a follow up to their hit song “One is such a lonely number”…kudos to you if you know what year that song was released though. I was a junior in High School ūüėČ

Actually the number ONE MILLION is becoming part of a HUGE Mission Repair Celebration that’s soon to come. When we reach ONE MILLION unique Blog Readers (just like you); we are all going to party. As of today:

I will begin preparations now for the biggest discounts that you’ve ever seen, and we will have lots of fun at each of our locations on this momentus day. I have so many stats, so much data, and have had so much fun being a professional blogger that it’s really exciting to know that soon my blog will reach the 1 Million mark and I’m just going to share my excitement and thanks to everyone.

I’ve been asked many times “do you ever get writers block?” Heck yeah I do. Also, “how did you start your blog?”

That second question is simple. Create a blog on a free blog site, name it, and start typing. In fact, I follow several blogs including past Mission Repair customers, vendors, and others that I just admire. If you’ve got a blog that you author or if I can help you get started on your own blog, let me know and I’ll be happy to be a part of your blog circle. Just reply to post in the comments section and I’m there!

So the big day is coming…the “Mission Repair Million Celebration”…we get about 10,000 new readers each month, so at this pace sometime in October we should be there – whether that ends up being true or not, I’m not going to worry about it. It will happen when it happens, but rest assured that I’ll be right here to share in the big day.

Thanks for reading, Ryan

When it comes to blogging, I wonder if it’s worth it.

Hi friends,

We spend an awful lot of time around the Mission Repair headquarters deciding on what to blog about next and when. There are days that I wonder if it’s worth the work – I mean we have to stop what we are doing, come up with a topic, write about it, proofread it (I know we make mistakes), make sure the links are working and post it. There are times that I try to get a blog posted (like this morning) but other issues throughout the day take precedence and inevitably take me off of my path.

Is-it-Worth-It

This morning I received an email from James K., one of the Mission Repair Blog Subscribers…I’ll cut and paste the part that I found especially helpful:

“I like it when you blog, and I look forward to receiving an email with your entiries. Your personal stories interest me and I sometimes think that we have a lot in common. Your business seems like it is going very well and it’s great to hear that you’re expanding and growing. I appreciate what you have done for me, you fixed my iPhone 5 last December. Keep up the good work and I’m looking forward to your next special.

Sincerely, James K. Decatur, IL.

P.S. I need my iPad Mini fixed- can that be the special of the month for June?”

Well, just when I think “I wonder if it’s worth it”, I get an email like this from a blog fan and my question is answered. It is worth the work, it defines Mission Repair and separates us from the competition – because these kinds of emails drive me to continue and validate our efforts.

So thank you James for the awesome email. I know that I’ve already replied to you individually, but now I’m also commending you in front of all of our readers – there are over 800,000 unique readers by the way – I offer my sincere thanks for reaching out.

Take care everyone, and have a great day. I’ll be blogging about some great news so stay tuned because I feel that there might be an iPad Mini special coming soon. Just for you James…

Hello 400!

Hello (for the 400th Time) M:R Nation –

I wanted to drop a quick line to commemorate my 400th blog posting! And I must admit, I really wanted to hit this number today, but  ran out of things to talk about.

When Ryan told me a short time¬†ago that he wanted me to start “Blogging”, I really didn’t know what to think or¬†where to start. It has certainly enhanced my creativity and has challenged me more that I every thought it would.

Celebrate+4001

Sure, 400 is a strange number to celebrate, but I find it an attractive number for some reason. So, I guess the only thing left to say is thank¬†you¬†M:R Nation for being such a great audience and here’s to another 400!

Cheers, Troy

Chili Anyone?

Hello M:R Nation –

It’s that time of year again! We are hosting the 3rd annual Mission:Repair Chili Cook-off today and I couldn’t be more pumped! We have 2 different categories that our employees can enter: 1. Best Chili and 2. Best Side Dish. The winner of the best chili will take home $100 and the best side will take home $50.00! There is nothing like a little extra cash to start off your weekend!

You should smell this!

We have a great turnout this year and the judging begins at Noon sharp! We have recruited a couple of judges from a neighboring business so it will be a fair contest. I hope they come hungry, there is enough chili here to feed an army!

Derrick thinks this is a winner!

As a small business, we find it very important to have events like this. It helps shake up the month, as doing anything day in and day out can get mundane… even if you love your job like we do! Who would of thought it, chili a serious¬†morale booster? It is indeed and especially¬†on a cold day like today.

Welp, I gotta get to work on some new services that we will be offering starting next week, which is going to be a hard task to complete on this distracting, yet wonderful day!

Cheers, Troy
