Happy 4th of July and a coupon inside!

Hello there! It’s almost lunch time here in Kansas at the Mission Repair Olathe location, which means that the day is almost half over and it’s time to celebrate!

If you didn’t see my earlier blog, you may not realize that we are open today here at Mission Repair and we’re in the mood to get as many repairs completed as quick as we can. Apparently, Lennie told the crew that if we can get our work done early, we may be getting out of work early; I’m not sure how that’s going to work yet, but if you’re planning on coming into one of our Mission Repair locations it would be best to get in here sooner than later!

Security system check…hey, Lennie get to work!

Hello all- we’re wrapping up a few items at our Lakewood location before we head home to Kansas. One final piece is the intricate alarm system that we’ve had installed; it’s state of the art and the camera system is tied in with our local police department, which alerts them if there’s an intruder after hours that gets caught on camera!

So we’re previewing it, and I took a snapshot of Lennie (who’s on the phone at the desk) and Allen (who’s standing next to him training) – there aren’t any customers up front at the moment so basically I’m just spying on them 😉

The technology in these camera systems these days is very cool – I want to look into one like this for my house. If the alarm does go off, it instantly texts my cell phone a video clip and also contacts the police department – with the video. Very cool!

And I also like to look into the office from my iPhone too. I have to make sure everyone is staying busy, right?

Ok, a few more small bits of Mission Repair information coming your way today from the blog. Stay right there, I’ll be back shortly! Ryan

iPhone 6 is coming!

Hi friends, I read on Reuters.com that Apple is to unveil iPhone 6 in August of this year, which is earlier than expected.

According to the article, a 4.7-inch screen version of the iPhone 6 will reach stores in August, the Economic Daily News reported without specifying which markets would receive the phone first.

A 5.5-inch or 5.6-inch model will be released in September, as the iPhone 5 series was previously.

People involved in the supply chain had earlier confirmed to Reuters that there will be a 4.7-inch version of the iPhone 6 and a 5.5-inch version.

Together, the Economic Daily News said 80 million iPhone 6 handsets would be produced this year.

Industry watchers have said increasing the iPhone’s screen size from 4 inches would help Apple regain market share from competitors such as Samsung Electronics Co Ltd, who they say have responded to consumer desire for more screen size.

What’s you take on screen size? Usually as a human race is concerned, you always hear that bigger is better. I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII and and iPhone 5 and to be honest I just like the feel of the iPhone 5 compared to the Samsung – but that’s just one man’s opinion.

I don’t feel “neglected” or that I’m “missing out” with the smaller iPhone screen; but I’m sure that a “large” iPhone would sell like hotcakes. Everyone loves a hotcake without discrimination, right?!?

Well, rest assured that we here at Mission Repair are diligently working on obtaining iPhone 6 screens just as soon as humanly possible- because I already know that the first day they come out…we will get a call for a repair. It happens every time.

So stay tuned and we’ll keep you posted on the iPhone 6 release later this year. Until then, you can browse our iPhone repair section on our website if you’re interested. Have a great day!

Time for some Spring Cleaning!

Hello friends- the weather has been a bit fickle out here in Kansas City. I’m not sure if mother nature has decided if it’s motorcycle riding weather nor not yet!

It was a beautiful day outside yesterday (even though it did snow earlier in the week) and it gave the gardeners a chance to get some much needed planting done in our front garden beds. It’s a nice Spring clean up that our new Mission Repair building needed and I think it’s going to look great when things start to grow!

Before yesterday, these areas in front of our windows were full of “junk” bushes that just looked terrible. I know that it’s probably not that important to you, but it gives us here at Mission Repair a little bit of pride and self worth coming into work each day 😉

Since we’re on the subject, it’s time to do a little Spring Cleaning of your own – on your computer! Did you know that we offer virus removal and electronics cleaning? I just had a customer tell us that he dropped a margarita on his new MacBook (which still worked by the way) but the keys were sticky. Yikes. Like really sticky. Units like this are handled in two ways:

1. We can clean the sticky mess out of the unit for a small labor fee.
2. We can replace the keyboard and any other components that might need to be replaced to get the unit functioning correctly again.

Apple laptop and *most* Windows laptop repairs are what I’m talking about. If you have a machine that’s running slow, having virus issues or if you have a sticky situation – you can have us at Mission Repair do a little Spring Cleaning for you. Give us a call 866-638-8402 if you have any questions! Thanks!

Take care, Ryan
