Apple passes Google as the heavyweight champ of brand names.

Good morning everyone,

I was reading through my typical industry news this morning and read that Apple has regained the top spot as “Most Valuable Brand” overtaking Google again.

The top ten include Apple, Google, VISA, Coca-Cola and a surprise to me at the number ten spot: Marlboro…cigarettes! I don’t know why this surprises me so much, but it did. I know that tobacco companies have a huge marketing budgets, but I personally use every brand on the list except for the cigarettes. No wonder there are some kids using tobacco so early, it’s tough not being exposed to branding every where you turn.

Well, congratulations Apple. I’ve been right there with you to the climb to the top. I personally started repairing Apple devices back in 1994 – and if you can believe it, we were actually repairing Apple Floppy Disk Drives by the thousand. You know that you’re a “vintage” guy when you know the difference between an “Auto-Inject” and “Manual-Inject” floppy drive. Oh how times have changed.

Have a great morning, I’ve got a lot of blogging to catch up on, I’ll be back soon!

Take care, Ryan

iChat- it’s a wonderful thing!

Hello everyone-

With multiple sites operating, and even within my own building, we use iChat with video conferencing on a daily basis here at Mission Repair.

This morning, Albert and Tayler up at our Mission Repair Express Store asked for a short video conference and I snapped a quick screenshot:

It’s a great way to stay connected to every employee and is truly an efficient way for us to communicate. A decade ago, I might have had to drive up to my other locations to have a “face to face” meeting – but now with iChat and my built in cameras, I can see things and check in on expressions, morale, issues and questions from the comfort of my desk. Thank you Apple!

Of course, there are lots of other video conferencing applications and programs for Mac and PC’s alike; however if your camera isn’t working correctly, you’ve got an issue from the start.

Remember Mission Repair if you find yourself with a failing built-in camera. Mac or PC. In today’s world, a camera seems to be most important (think about your cell phone for example) and is just as valuable in the office. We can solve and repair just about any camera problem that you might be having in our service lab. Keep us in mind.

Until next time, have a great day and I’ll be back soon.

Best, Ryan

It’s Vacation time! We know, because the RV’s are pulling up at the office.

Hello friends,

We’re in the heart of vacation season here at Mission Repair…It’s obvious. We’ve even seen full-size RV’s pull up and wait for iPhone repairs to be done. It’s a serious thing when your iPhone is broken and you’re sitting the back of the family truckster with nothing else to do but play “iSpy”. Which was a family favorite for me as a kid because we didn’t have portable electronics!

For everyone that is on the road (we had one family stop in from Texas this week to bring in their iPad) and remember that there is no appointment necessary 😉

Travel safe…and remember that if you are on the road this weekend that it’s Father’s day so make sure that dad gets a break from the wheel. Take him to breakfast and then get him to a hot tub at the next stop. He’ll appreciate it.

Speaking of Father’s Day, we will be sending out our Father’s Day newsletter later today with some awesome specials, so stay tuned and check your email inbox shortly!

Thanks…I wonder what Father’s Day has in store for me? Kids, are you reading this?

Have a good day, Ryan
