iPod Touch 5 Charging Port Repairs Announced!

Hello there friends, happy 2016!

We’ve been working hard on adding a few new services for the iPod Touch 5 and iPod Touch 6. One of the difficult ones for any repair center is to repair the charging port…you know, that port where you plug your A/C adapter into?

The charging port on the iPod Touch 5 and 6 are soldered in place and you won’t be able to just have any old repair shop replace this for you. Apple charges an arm and a leg for the “repair” on this one; when in fact they don’t repair it but rather just replace it for you.

I know that it doesn’t sound like that big of a deal, but if the lightning port fails, then the entire device just becomes useless. You won’t be able to charge, sync, download or upload. It will just be a pretty paperweight.

We have the parts in stock and have already replaced these for customers that are in need – my technicians are fully trained and ready for action. Now this service is available directly on our website or you can call in to place your order.

We’ve been able to procure better pricing on these screens so we are able to pass the savings on to our customers!

Our iPod Touch screen repairs have been on the rise; with the release of the new iPod Touch 6 from Apple (with the A8 chip and M8 motion co-processor that is going to be amazing for gaming!) soon there will be a market for iPod Touch 6 screen repairs as well. Those are “coming soon” to Mission Repair.
