iPod Repair at Mission Repair.

Hello there-

With all of the data that we store at Mission Repair from the hundreds of thousands of repairs that we’ve performed for customers all across the country, I can see that iPod Repairs USED to be our number one service in terms of total numbers;

But this year they have been surpassed by the iPhone repairs that we offer. We still service a significant amount of 4th Generation iPod Touch screens, and I think that my techs can do it in their sleep. In fact, we just trained Casey our newest technician to repair these yesterday to help break the monotony on the production line.

Also, it’s true that since the discontinuation of the iPod Classic by Apple, the demand for 160GB hard drives (the behemoth) has been on the rise, and the supplies and replacement drives are becoming more rare and expensive. Just a tidbit for those that like to keep 160GB of music on them at all times! Depending on how the music is formatted, that’s somewhere in the neighborhood of 28,000 songs. That should keep you busy for a while, but be sure to take care of that hard drive. Soon, they will be impossible to get!

Thanks, talk to you again soon, Ryan

Stop by our Mission, Kansas store on Saturdays…

Hello friends, if you stop by our Mission, Kansas store on Saturdays you might find that you’ll be shopping for some awesome local foods and flora as well!

Starting June 6th 2015, every Saturday in downtown Mission begins the first weekly “Farm and Flower Market” will be held just outside of the glass windows of our Mission Repair Express location!

I just want to say that I LOVE farmer’s markets. They feature foods sold directly by farmers to consumers and this one will consist of booths, tables and stands, all outdoors, where farmers sell fruits, vegetables, meats, and flowers. It’s great exercise, fun for the whole family, and you can stop into Mission Repair and get that iPhone repaired while you shop.

It couldn’t be better! See you out there.

Take care, Ryan

TBT: Mission Repair Is Expanding Again

Happy Throwback Thursday! This time last year we were working hard to complete the renovations to our new location in Mission, KS. It takes a lot of hard work to get a new location up and running but it is also really fun watching the transformation unfold. Our Mission location on Johnson Drive and Nall used to be Gass Camera repair and it took time and dedication to get it into the service center it is today.

If you have been reading our newsletters you have heard that we are opening a new location in Lakewood, CO on February 2nd. We have a group heading up there this weekend to finish up the new location, pass out business cards and promote the business – we are really excited! This location will be just like our locations in Kansas. They will include a team of certified technicians and customer service representatives that can take care of any iPod, Smartphone, Tablet and Computer repair needs you may have.

Stay tuned for updates on our Grand Opening : )

Happy Thursday,
Melanie

Thank you to all who visited our Mission, Kansas store last weekend!

Hello and good afternoon!

This is just a thank you blog to all that joined in the festivities at our Mission, Kansas location lat weekend.  It was a huge success!  The City of Mission, Kansas spent almost $6M restoring their downtown district and our Mission Repair Express location was in the heart of the construction.

So much in the heart of it that we saw it all. From the says out customers had to “climb” into the store from the street (well, where the street used to be) to finding our back door and checking in their repairs from the alleyway- we thank each of you that made the trip and the destination safely.

We are now on a brand new street with huge brand new sidewalks, planters, trees, street lights and feel.

Again, the construction is DONE, and we’re happy to have endured the construction. The orange cones have been removed, and parking in front of the store is once again available. Amazing 😉

There’s more fun to come this month and I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is already next week. That means there’s no time to waste so if you’re reading this then you’re tuning into the Mission Repair blog at the right time. Keep your eyes open for the next email blast coming your way shortly. We’re giving away a new computer. You might be destined to be the winner!

Take care, Ryan

iPod Repair at Mission Repair; a number one seller!

Hello friends of Mission Repair –

I just went over our May 2014 metrics, and once again iPod Repair is our number one selling service; to be more specific the 4th Generation iPod Touch Screen Repair takes top honors.

It’s fitting because I’ve been in the iPod repair business since the first iPod was delivered to anxious customers- do you remember these beauties?

Well times have changed since the 1st Generation iPod was delivered; no touch-sensitive “anything” there. They had a spinning click wheel and greyscale screen. I bet my kids would have a good chuckle if I handed them one of these and said “here’s your iPod”. In fact, that sounds like a great idea!

Fast forward to today and we’re fixing iPods by the thousands here at Mission Repair. There was one noteworthy anomaly in May that caught my eye. iPads took second place just behind the iPods by just one less unit. That’s in interesting shift to iPads and I’m certainly going to keep my eyes on that. We might see iPad overcome the iPod as the most proliferate repair at our business soon. Times are-a-changing!

Remember Mission Repair when in need of that iPod Repair – I’ve been doing them since 2001. Wow.

Take care, Ryan
