Security system check…hey, Lennie get to work!

Hello all- we’re wrapping up a few items at our Lakewood location before we head home to Kansas. One final piece is the intricate alarm system that we’ve had installed; it’s state of the art and the camera system is tied in with our local police department, which alerts them if there’s an intruder after hours that gets caught on camera!

So we’re previewing it, and I took a snapshot of Lennie (who’s on the phone at the desk) and Allen (who’s standing next to him training) – there aren’t any customers up front at the moment so basically I’m just spying on them πŸ˜‰

The technology in these camera systems these days is very cool – I want to look into one like this for my house. If the alarm does go off, it instantly texts my cell phone a video clip and also contacts the police department – with the video. Very cool!

And I also like to look into the office from my iPhone too. I have to make sure everyone is staying busy, right?

Ok, a few more small bits of Mission Repair information coming your way today from the blog. Stay right there, I’ll be back shortly! Ryan

iPhone dropped into a Frosty. Tastes delicious!

Hello everyone,

I was sitting next to Melanie when she took a phone call from a customer that said that she dropped her iPhone into a Wendy’s Frosty and it stopped working…BUMMER!

Now don’t get me wrong, I love a Frosty from time to time, however I’ve never dropped anything into one – but I’m sure that I’ve dropped some Frosty on my shirt at some point!

So it becomes a question of “Can Mission Repair Fix it?”

The bottom line is that we can fix anything. In some cases, it can become too costly – I’ve used this example before – let’s say if it was run over by a truck. Yes it can be repaired, but if we have to replace EVERYTHING, we’d probably just advise our customer to obtain a new device altogether.

However thousands of times each month, we service, repair, and deliver devices back to happy customers repaired…which is why we are in business. Can we repair an iPhone that was dropped into a Frosty? You betcha. Want to get on our good side? Drop off your iPhone with an extra Frosty for me and I’ll take care of business πŸ˜‰

Ok, after all of the Holiday food that I’ve been eating lately, I don’t need a Frosty right now. I need a salad.

To all of us that have overeaten a bit this holiday season; the New Year is right around the corner and my resolution will be announced soon. I’m thinking a new gym membership is in my future, maybe I’ll see you there.

Take care, Ryan

Time for some Spring Cleaning!

Hello friends- the weather has been a bit fickle out here in Kansas City. I’m not sure if mother nature has decided if it’s motorcycle riding weather nor not yet!

It was a beautiful day outside yesterday (even though it did snow earlier in the week) and it gave the gardeners a chance to get some much needed planting done in our front garden beds. It’s a nice Spring clean up that our new Mission Repair building needed and I think it’s going to look great when things start to grow!

Before yesterday, these areas in front of our windows were full of “junk” bushes that just looked terrible. I know that it’s probably not that important to you, but it gives us here at Mission Repair a little bit of pride and self worth coming into work each day πŸ˜‰

Since we’re on the subject, it’s time to do a little Spring Cleaning of your own – on your computer! Did you know that we offer virus removal and electronics cleaning? I just had a customer tell us that he dropped a margarita on his new MacBook (which still worked by the way) but the keys were sticky. Yikes. Like really sticky. Units like this are handled in two ways:

1. We can clean the sticky mess out of the unit for a small labor fee.
2. We can replace the keyboard and any other components that might need to be replaced to get the unit functioning correctly again.

Apple laptop and *most* Windows laptop repairs are what I’m talking about. If you have a machine that’s running slow, having virus issues or if you have a sticky situation – you can have us at Mission Repair do a little Spring Cleaning for you. Give us a call 866-638-8402 if you have any questions! Thanks!

Take care, Ryan
