How was your Halloween?

Good morning and Happy November!
Halloween here at Mission Repair was scary…scary fun and scary busy! We had a fun day here at our offices and there’s still just a little bit of Halloween candy left here at the front desk. I’m sure someone will finish it off for us!

We had a ton on trick-or-treaters and even adults dressed up and picking up repairs. Here’s a scary ghost with her repaired iPhone in hand:

We ran a special for giving 15% off your repair if you came in with a costume on…so we had a line from funny to scary to one almost inappropriate costume that I personally found hilarious…but it was all in good fun.

iPhone 6S Parts are hitting the market!

Good morning!

Just as a finished a blog and a tweet a few minutes ago about iPhone 6S repairs, I received an email from one of our trusted vendors stating that they have the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus screens in stock. They are ready to ship…and don’t be fooled, the iPhone 6 screen is far different than the iPhone 6S screen even though they look similar!

The only caveat is that these are some of the first in the market to be released and the price is outrageous. Believe me, you wouldn’t want to buy one of these “first release” screens, even if your phone is broken. Just hang in there for another couple of weeks for the price to simmer down and you’ll save hundreds of $$.

So I’ve got my finger on the pulse here with the iPhone 6S parts, and as soon as we land (and I mean the collective “we” of the entire repair industry) on some reasonable pricing, I will active the repairs on our website.

iPhone 6S Repairs-

Hello there iPhone fans-

It’s only be a few short weeks since the iPhone 6S has been released and we’ve unfortunately already had several calls from customers asking to have their screen repaired…in fact, this customer came in Monday to show us his cracked iPhone 6S screen, you can see the crack down by the home button:

It’s unfortunate because we’re not quite ready to perform the repairs on these devices yet (they are “coming soon” on our website!), the parts are just still a couple weeks for repair centers like Mission Repair to obtain. Otherwise we are good to go.

So check back if you need that iPhone 6S or 6S Plus repaired some time in November; that’s my best guess but it could be sooner. I’ll let you know the day they are available, thanks!

A lot of talk about the iPhone 6S.

Hello there friends!

So I’ve got my iPhone 6S on pre-order. I’m getting excited!

Now that the new version of the iPhone is out, it looks like there will be a new trend here at Mission Repair and the iPhone 6S Screen repairs are being added as we speak (as well as the 6S Plus!) and we are gearing and ordering inventory as we speak. We’ve had calls from a few insurance companies asking if we are planning on offering repairs for these…the answer is…OF COURSE!

Why buy the 6S?

The headliner, the show-stopper, the fundamental reason (Apple thinks) you should buy an iPhone 6S: 3D Touch. 3D Touch brings another dimension to how you operate your smartphone. Using the new taptic engine, the iPhone 6S’s display can measure how hard you press down on it. Deeper presses on apps will bring up an option menu or provide short cuts. Two examples Apple gave were snapping a quick selfie with a deep press, and viewing a ‘Live Photo’. Sounds like I need to try it!

We are getting close! Vendors are offering 6S screens as we speak, and the other parts will be coming online at MissionRepair.com soon.

Well, I’m due for an upgrade and I think that I’ll be waiting for the iPhone 6S to release to make the switch. I don’t know, I just feel like I deserve something new. For crying out loud even my son has the iPhone 6 Plus and I he keeps rubbing it in my face 😉
