So I’m sitting on a cruise ship and…

Hello there cruisers!

I say “cruisers” because if you’ve ever been on a cruise ship, that’s what they call you.  A crusier.  Ok, I’m good with it.

Normally when I’m on vacation I don’t really need to talk about work.  It’s a good time to decompress, forget about the normal day-to-day worries and just relax.  When we were all sitting at the dinner table, I struck up a conversation with the newlywed couple next to us.  Finally, the question of came up “what do you do?”

“I own a small business that repairs iPhones, Smartphones, tablets and computers” I said.

So he then pulls out his Sony Xperia and says “can you fix this?!?  Brilliant!

So sitting at the table I snapped this picture and told him that I’d blog about it.  Thanks Cale, after a few days on the cruise ship spending time with you and Lauren it’s now obvious that we have made some great friends.  Next time I visit Florida, I’ll bring a back glass with me and take care of that cracked component for you.  It’ll only cost you 3 mai tais 😉

So, even in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico it’s difficult to get away from the business.  I guess that’s a good problem, right?  Well, I’m back to it and I’ll be right here knocking out some more blogs (and some amazing newsletters are in the works as well!) from the comfort of my “dry land office”.  Ugh, who wouldn’t rather be working from Cozumel?

New Repair Service Announced. HTC One M9 screen repairs!

Hello there my friends! It’s a lovely Thursday afternoon and we’re really in overdrive here at Mission Repair!

I’m happy to bring you a new service that has been a buzz in the marketplace lately…specifically because HTC is offering this service FOR FREE. What? Wait! How can we beat that?

Well, we really can’t, but that doesn’t mean that we aren’t going to repair these units in bulk. HTC does offer it’s newest “Uh-Oh!” service on the HTC One M9 screen replacement (or liquid damage) as a one-time replacement offer valid within first 12 months of ownership. That’s an awesome deal, there’s no doubt about it.

There are a few problems with this program though…like if you don’t want to be without your phone for about a week, you need to cough up a $599 “deposit hold”. Also, if you don’t back up your phone the moment before the accident, you won’t get all of your data back. Also, what happens if you drop your phone 13 months after you got it? You’re in trouble then!

At Mission Repair…there is no “deposit hold” – just a repair fee. And it’s a screen repair fee that’s based in reality. Oh yeah, what if you didn’t back up your phone? No worries, you’ll have your phone delivered back to you with the same exact data and information on it as you delivered it to us – in fact any new texts or phone messages will also be on there as well! What about the wait time? Pre-arranged with your sales rep and location, you can even visit us and have it repaired while you wait.

Got Repair: Because You Never Know When It Will Happen Again!

Forgive my long title, but that statement has never rang truer for one of our recent customers. After having an iPad repaired with us, this customer picked up said repaired iPad and went along their way. As they were approaching their vehicle, the iPad slipped out of their hand and once again, the iPad was cracked! This was a major shock to all of us. Never before had we seen a need for our Got Repair services in such a quick fashion. We felt super bad for this customer and waived the repair fees on the other damage that the drop had produced and the Got Repair fee covered the rest.

While we have never seen it happen so quickly, we hear of these stories all of the time. This is the very reason why we created this program a few years ago during a lunch break at one of our favorite Indian buffets. I will never forget the conversation that Ryan and I had. It all stemmed from dealing with a customer that had a device repaired with us just days prior and was back again for another screen repair on the same iPhone 3GS.  We thought, there has got to be a better way of doing this.   • Think of it as the “New Standard” in which services should be performed. Mission Repair pioneers many programs and we set the standard for the market.
  • Think of it as the opposite of “Insurance”.  Insurance is just that.  You buy insurance “in case” something happens to your unit.  If nothing happens, you still pay.  Additionally, most insurance plans require a deductible and stringent rules to filing a claim.  Our “Got Repair” benefits cost you nothing up front.  Rather, we charge a small service fee for any repeat repair.  You can have the unit re-repaired once or 1000 times, this service fee will remain the same.

You can think of it as many things, but when you boil it down, its simply in place so you NEVER have to pay full price for the same repair on that SmartphoneTablet, or Laptop again! There is no catch.

You automatically qualify for this warranty by using Mission:Repair the first time around and if you decide that you don’t want to pay the lower service fee, we will gladly let you pay full price again :-) Of course I’m joking.

So, if you are trying to choose a service center, please take this benefit into account.
