Mission Repair quarterly meeting a success! Kind of.

Hello there-

It’s true; I try to keep our employees up to date, connected and on the same page. It’s called MANAGING. Some of you may have heard of it, but I know that others have not.

Every quarter I get the team together and we head to Bass Pro Shops here in Olathe, Kansas and reserve a meeting space. It’s a good time to get away from the hustle of the work environment, and everyone gets a few extra hours on their paycheck AND a good meal!

This time I broke the group into teams, gave them 9 pieces of paper, and told them to work together to make a tower that stood on it’s own, with only the 9 pieces of copy paper and some scotch tape. The key was that the tower had to be at least 40 inches tall. Ready, set, go!

I’m there in the background because my Colorado crew was joining in with us on Facetime, so I was showing them what others were doing via my iPhone…but it was fruitless. Those guys in Lakewood, CO killed it and came up with the best tower of all.

In the foreground of this picture was Jake (backward hat) who failed miserably as a team leader 😉 I’ll just keep him to fixing devices, not building paper towers.

Before the meeting I built an example of what it could look like back in the office just in case no one could get it:

These times are all about fun and business, and we got a lot done that night.

The new training schedule was announced for our employees, so soon when you call in you may hear some “refinement” from our newer employees…that’s a great thing!

I’m always looking for new group team building activities, have any ideas?

Take care, Ryan

200,000 people can’t be wrong!

Greetings friends-

This is just a short post as I’m looking through our database – we passed 200,000 completed repairs today. That puts us into a new category in my book. . .and reaching milestones like this at my business is just a fun way to get a little personal “reward” without asking for it. The numbers speak for themselves!

Thank you to all of our customers. 200,000 repairs and counting!

Thank you to all of our customers. 200,000 repairs and counting!

So who cares? Well I do, and for those customers that are shopping around for a reputable business to care for their trusty electronic device at least you know that Mission Repair is servicing real volume, and after seeing hundreds of thousands of cracked iPhones and iPads in the last 7 years, we have really gotten to know our stuff 😉

Thanks for reading, this is more of a pat on the back to all of my employees that have stayed strong and that believe in what we’re doing here at Mission Repair. It’s what we do.

Take care, Ryan

We’re breaking records this month!

Hello friends-

We’re really spooling up at the office and ramping our staff and operations department for the busy holiday season. In fact, we’ve already smashed November 2012’s records with astounding orders the first week of November 2013!

Why is this important you you? While it sounds like a fantastic thing for any business owner it’s really a win-win for all of our customers as well. When a business is healthy it can offer better pricing, specials, discounts and deals. It’s a matter of efficiency, commitment and confidence.

Last month, we offered an entire line of specials and giveaways for the Halloween week. I did a video blog each day with new news – and thousands of customers participated in the week-long event. It was to launch the 2013 Holiday season off on the right foot and it has worked!

So what now? Well you can expect several new changes on the Mission Repair website (if you’ve seen it lately, we’ve upgraded some of the look and technology) and are offering more services and repairs than ever before. As we continue to expand, Mission Repair will continue to grow and add value to you!

It’s amazing to me that we are already past the first week of November with the holiday season already surrounding us. I hope you have a good one.

Remember Mission Repair can fix that broken iPhone, iPad or Computer which makes a great holiday gift. We’ve had plenty of requests for gift cards – so we should have those in place and available for purchase by Black Friday. Heck, if you know me at all – I’ll be giving away a few of those too!

Until then, keep you eye on this blog for some spectacular news that can only be heard here. Take care.

Ryan

Happy anniversary Mission Repair! Coupon code inside!

Hello everyone and happy-post-Easter yo you!

It’s April 1st – and as there are likely a lot of April’s Fools pranks being pulled around the country, it’s also time to celebrate another Mission Repair Anniversary.

What’s it like running a business year after year? Well, I can honestly tell you that I’m still learning something new every day while growing and adding value to the business as it accelerates. I often get asked “how big is Mission Repair?”. Well, I guard a lot of that business information carefully as the sole owner, but I’ll tell you that we have now occupied 4 buildings in our business complex which puts us as the majority occupants. This means that it’s almost time to purchase a new building so we can keep up with the growth a demand, and quite frankly we need more parking space!

Today is a time for me personally to reflect on the life as an owner / operator and enjoy what can be accomplished with a ton of hard work.

What can you enjoy?

We are are receiving in a ton of local walk in business and actually when I popped into the business on Saturday there was a line wrapped out the front door of people waiting to either drop off or pickup from us. It was a sight to see.

So for today, I have a special coupon code for every walk in customer that we will apply to each order as delivered today. Stop on by for extra savings when you use Mission Repair, and while you’re at it, ask for a piece of anniversary cake, it’s amazing!

Have a great day everyone.
Ryan
