I’m not sure if you follow the rumor mill or not when it comes to Apple products, but there’s a buzz about a 12.9″ iPad that may hit this year. Apple’s iPad kickstarted the tablet craze and recent rumors suggest the world’s most valuable company has an even bigger one on the way.
According to an online report from Taiwanese blog “DigiTimes”, components for a 12.9″ iPad are being readied for Apple to take delivery in September.
However, because demand for tablets is slowing, the technology giant has lowered its initial supply order.
So while a larger iPad could be available by the end of the year, you might not necessarily be able to get hold of one – Apple had a similar delay for the launch of the Apple Watch, although that was due to not being able to get hold of enough components in the first place.
Apple’s current iPads are either 9.7-inches (iPad Air and iPad Air 2) or 7.9-inches (iPad mini 3 and iPad mini 2).
It’s exciting to think that the electronics giant will be adding a new form factor to the lineup, which means that we here at Mission Repair will be adding it to our iPad repair lineup as well.
I remember thinking that no one would want a huge iPhone like the iPhone 6 Plus; but clearly I was wrong. So I’m going to take a new approach to the new “iPad Mega” (that’s what I’m calling it anyway) and say that I’m POSITIVE that consumers will love it. I’d suggest just keeping it out of the hands of your 3-year old. . .it’s going to take two GROWN UP hands to handle this one! We’ll see…
Happy Tuesday, Ryan
Good Morning! The cookies have been ordered, catering is set, the fliers are printed, and the date is quickly approaching. Our newest location in Lakewood, CO has been open for about a month now, business is rolling, and we are a week away from our Grand Opening! That’s right, our Lakewood Location will be celebrating it’s official ribbon cutting next Tuesday, March 17th at 4:00pm. We realize that is Saint Patrick’s Day and it is only fitting since our favorite color here at Mission:Repair is GREEN : )
This Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting event is a time to celebrate our newest location with the Denver area community and we are excited! It’s our first storefront outside of the Kansas City area and we love being in Lakewood, CO. A few Denver Chamber of Commerce members have RSVP’d, a group is coming in from Kansas City, our staff’s family members will be attending and we’d love to see you there too!
There will be tasty items from The Garlic Knot, Mission Repair cookies, refreshments and of course, specials on our repair services ; ) Whether you need your iPhone or iPad repaired or not – we’d love for everyone in the area to stop by, say Hi and help us celebrate!
I’ve been talking about a new repair center location in Denver, Colorado (specifically: Lakewood, Colorado) and we’re excited for this location to open!
In fact, I’ll be heading to Lakewood in a week and a half on Saturday 1/10/15. We’re going to be adding the signage and starting the move-in process. We’ve got the site staffed and it’s now just up to me to get some of the details arranged and organized. The internet service installed, the fixtures, the computers and alarm system are all going in shortly.
The Denver Bronco Monument in the Centennial State.
I’ve been through this process before, and truth be told, it’s an exciting time. I feel very confident about this location and once I get some of the signage up, I’ll post a few pictures. In fact, we received our very first Mission Repair Express “Lakewood” order already! Our customer is waiting for the location to open so he can deliver his MacBook for repair. Now that’s dedication! We have over 10,000 customers that have used us in the past from Colorado, and those customers are thrilled to have us move into the state. I love visiting…so it looks like I’ll be visiting often.
It’s all the more reason that we’re going to need to get this location up and running as fast as possible. I feel that a few more weeks and we’ll be ready to go. Where will be be opening next? Check my next blog to find out!
Thanks everyone, I’ll be out of the office for a few days after the holiday; but not sitting at home on a “staycation”…I’ll be working in Colorado and I’ll be in touch!
Thanks for reading, check out my next blog that’s coming this afternoon.
