Things at Mission:Repair are always moving at a fast pace. From our Customer Service to our Shipping and Receiving departments, things just fly. This is by design. The quicker we can receive, test, repair and quality check your device, the better for everyone. So you can imagine my elation when we shave some time off of a particular process. We have done so with our Macbook Air Screen services! What used to take a full week to repair, has now been shaved to only 24 Hours!

Why would it have ever taken more than 24 hours? (let alone 1 Week) to repair you ask? Well, the design on the newer Macbook Air is very thin and complex. So thin in fact, there is not even a removable LCD screen in it! It is built in layer by layer in the top lid. This brings a whole new complexity to the repair and most folks could not do it in their basement. To repair these computers, requires a clean room and other expensive equipment that you can’t easily come by. It is a pain staking repair and I would not wish it on my worst enemy 🙂

So, with a little ingenuity and a lot of practice, we have quickened our turn around time on this service. My technicians are working hard to to get this time down even further and you should expect to see another post on this very soon! Mission:Repair No Shave November Winner Announced!

Hello M:R Nation –

Now that November is in our rear view mirror, we can move on to a more cleanly shaven month. I for one can say that I am ready to not stare at unkept, hairy dudes all day. So now that all of that fun is over, lets take at how our contestants fared. Below you will see the before and after shots of the brave souls that didn’t drop out of the competition midway through.

 

 

As you can see, some of these blokes really put on the scraggle for the occasion. David (Left Bloke) decided to go with the stash on the last day and might I say, it fits him well? He looks a little Walter White-ish.

It’s a toasty day in Kansas City and I am quite happy sitting behind this desk, in my chilly office. As I am sitting here writing this I am giddy with excitement over our new expanded Macbook Air services! We are announcing 2 different services today. The first service is a full MacBook Air LCD Screen replacement that utilizes a Matte (Anti-Glare) coating. This is very useful when sitting outside or in a room with bright lighting. We have found it very helpful with finger prints as well. Now it’s not finger print resistant by any means, but it doesn’t seem to pick up as many as it’s glossy counter part.
