Sale on Samsung Galaxy S5 Screen Repairs!

Hello again folks,

It’s time to run a special because I am overstocked on Black Samsung Galaxy S5 Screens! We need to talk a little bit about this repairs, because it can get confusing at times.

1. We install screen assemblies onto our customer units. That means that the glass, LCD, and digitizer are all pre-assembled and “sealed” together. This is a major point because there are other repair services out there that do not. In particular:

2. We don’t replace just the outer glass. There are many services out there that just replace the glass. And we can do it too; but it doesn’t ever look perfect, and it never passes our Quality Control personnel. In fact, many times after just a short while the phone will have issues with dust under the screen, failing touch functions, “hot spots” that look like discolored pressure points, or just simply no screen visible at all. All of that and our customers demand that the screens look factory new…and there is no way to do this by simply scraping off the old glass with a hair dryer (yeah, look it up) and replacing it.

Be aware of any service that claims they can replace the glass only on a Samsung Galaxy S5. Firstly, this is not a “factory” repair. It’s a shortcut intended to save money and if something goes wrong during the process (i.e. the repair center scratches your LCD or even cracks it) who’s responsible then? Also, what kind of warranty will you get with a glass-only repair? At Mission Repair, you’ll get a 1 year warranty, the repair will look like it did when it was brand new, and there will NEVER be dust under the screen from a faulty “scrape and glue” job. Oh yeah, and now through Friday March 13, 2015 the Samsung Galaxy S5 Black screen repairs are $20 off normal repair price. Just use coupon code “BS5” when checking out online or tell your customer service representative about it for savings.

Thanks, Ryan

It almost looks like he’s smiling!

Hello friends-

I’ve been out of the office for a few days in St. Louis working with NAPWDA and their amazing group of K9 work dogs…there were bomb, accelerant, cadaver, search/rescue and other types of dogs. Melanie (my webmaster) and I volunteered to be decoys at the “area search” station and with the help of Master Trainer Mike Perkins, we landed the job of “decoys”.

This meant that we needed to “hide” in the woods, while each handler took their respective dog through the paces and sent them off looking for us. Since these dogs are also protection dogs (and are used in law enforcement to find suspects), we either needed to put on a bite suit or crawl up a ladder into a tree stand quietly and wait for the dog to find us. Once they did – it was “game on” as the dogs would bark and intimidate while we waited for the handlers to come secure and reward them. Remember, this is training and these men and women need to keep their animals in top shape!

So, this cute pup was my first “lesson” for the day. You’ll notice that I took this picture from about 12 feet up in the air, and had I been any closer to the ground he might have ripped my boots off. It almost looks a little like he’s smiling, but make no mistake- he was all business and could smell my fear.

I like taking a little time out of my busy life to give back to the law enforcement and other agency groups when I can because they actually do lead thankless careers- it’s obvious that their dedication and devotion to protect us civilians just comes from within…so thank you to all of you that provide safety and security to the rest of us that don’t realize it enough. You’re our heroes.

Lastly – it was a fun day and I didn’t get bitten by any K9 dogs- only mosquitoes. They we out to get me!

Have a great afternoon and I’ll be back with some awesome Mission Repair news soon.

Best, Ryan

Surf’s up! Get your snow gear on.

Aloha friends,

There’s some interesting weather happening around the country at the moment. Let’s take the weather in Spring Hill, Kansas for example. It’s cold this morning in my home town – in fact, so cold I have my thermostat set at 69 degrees, but it is only 66 degrees in the house. Apparently my furnace can’t keep up! We just aren’t built for this kind of cold I guess. It’s almost lunchtime and only 3 degrees outside; with windchill it’s -15. That’s cold enough to close a few schools in the area…the east coast is covered in snow as well.

I was talking to a friend of mine in Hawaii (did you know that I lived on Maui for a couple of years?) and she said that the waves are crashing in the north shores of all the islands. This is attracting surfers from everywhere to get in on the action!

Here’s a pic from yesterday afternoon of a 40 foot wave courtesy of @aloharoyale:

surf

Supposedly this is the biggest surf in over a decade. That’s exciting for some, but even when I lived there, and I was in the best shape of my life, and I swam every day, I would never tackle surf like this. Maybe I’m just not built for it…but I’ve been in 10 foot surf which is HUGE. 40 feet just spells doom for a guy like me!

Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to be sitting on the beach watching this 40 foot anomaly, but alass, I’m in my office clapping away at the keyboard. Oh well, there will be time for vacation fun soon, today I just need to plan on staying warm if I can so that’s what I’m going to focus on!

What to do? It’s given me some great ideas on a few minor changes to our Mission Repair website and some pricing that was due to change. So starting today, you’ll see a wave of markdowns on a few key services and repairs (Samsung Galaxy SIII glass repair for example) so Troy and I will post those price changes today.

Stay tuned…stay warm, or if you’re in Hawaii, stay dry.

Take care, Ryan
