It’s a little treacherous out there.

Hi there,

I’m sitting here in my front office at Mission Repair in Lenexa, Kansas and the snow just started to fall.  Soon after, I heard lots of sirens and can see the commotion rumbling just down the street.  The weather is starting to hit us, and the freezing rain is really what is causing the issue.  Cars are starting to slide all over the place!

Here’s a pic out into the parking lot as we speak:

I know that it doesn’t look like much, but that little bit of snow on top of the slick roads makes a dangerous situation.   It looks like I should probably put it into 4 wheel drive for a little while unit the road crews get their act together.

We’ve have several people come in during the “mess”.  I want to remind everyone that we are open until 7 pm, and if is suits your lifestyle to wait until the roads as a little better, then I recommend that you hang tight in your warm houses and offices while KDOT gets the plows up and down the highway.  I bet that by 5 pm today it’ll be just fine to move around the area.

Thanks again and drive safe everyone!

Happy 4th of July and a coupon inside!

Hello there! It’s almost lunch time here in Kansas at the Mission Repair Olathe location, which means that the day is almost half over and it’s time to celebrate!

If you didn’t see my earlier blog, you may not realize that we are open today here at Mission Repair and we’re in the mood to get as many repairs completed as quick as we can. Apparently, Lennie told the crew that if we can get our work done early, we may be getting out of work early; I’m not sure how that’s going to work yet, but if you’re planning on coming into one of our Mission Repair locations it would be best to get in here sooner than later!

Let’s celebrate America’s birthday with an awesome special for any new repair order placed now through the 5th of July 2015! Take 15% off with coupon code “SPARKLER” for our holiday weekend special. Please remember to be safe, have fun and celebrate Independence Day with whatever traditions that make you happy. Mission Repair has been offering a 4th of July Special for 8 years in a row, it’s a tradition to us!

Have a Happy 4th,
Ryan

My dog ate my homework – and my iPhone?

Hello there, this isn’t a new joke, I understand that. “My dog ate my homework” has been used as an excuse to get out of turning in assignments in class. But “my dog ate my iPhone” is a newer concept. Do these things taste good?

I’m, not sure if this device was actually eaten by a dog, but it’s definitely something that needs to be repaired…and repaired fast! We’ve got the team to do it; this phone will certainly need a new front glass and back case and Lennie is on it right now.

If you find yourself with a device that’s been “mangled”, just give us a call. We’ll do what we can to get you back into shape.

Take care, Ryan

Time to get into the Holiday Spirit!

Hello everyone- we are scrambling to get 11 hours of work done today in a 5 hour period here at Mission Repair – remember that we are closing today at 1:00pm so that I can take out the company for a lunch and we can head off to be with our families until Friday morning.

We will reopen Friday morning 12/26/14 at 8:00am like usual!

Last night, we really got into the Holiday Spirit – my cousin bought the entire family tickets to the Trans Siberian Orchestra that played at the Sprint Center in Kansas City last night! I got a few great pics, this group puts on one heck of a sound and visual light show:

They put on the “The Christmas Attic” show which is a “rock opera”, and there were some old school rockers up on stage. It was a lot of fun! Thanks Cousin Kyle!

After the show, we moved on to eat out at Gordon Biersch for dinner…we laughed, talked about old times, made new memories, and discussed the plans for the rest of the week. So for those of you that have today and tomorrow off, congratulations. I’ll apologize to my employes again for being open today, but we’ve taken a record number of repair orders this month so I just feel that it’s right to stay open for a little bit today to make sure we can fulfill these orders! My staff of technicians are like Toy-Making Elves right now…getting things done in time for the Holiday! Except that they don’t have pointy ears or funny shoes. Well, maybe Matt Vaughan has funny shoes, but don’t anyone say anything to him about it!

Thanks everyone, it’s 10:39am and we’ll be here until 1:00pm today…

Ryan
