I’m sitting here in my front office at Mission Repair in Lenexa, Kansas and the snow just started to fall. Soon after, I heard lots of sirens and can see the commotion rumbling just down the street. The weather is starting to hit us, and the freezing rain is really what is causing the issue. Cars are starting to slide all over the place!
Here’s a pic out into the parking lot as we speak:
I know that it doesn’t look like much, but that little bit of snow on top of the slick roads makes a dangerous situation. It looks like I should probably put it into 4 wheel drive for a little while unit the road crews get their act together.
We’ve have several people come in during the “mess”. I want to remind everyone that we are open until 7 pm, and if is suits your lifestyle to wait until the roads as a little better, then I recommend that you hang tight in your warm houses and offices while KDOT gets the plows up and down the highway. I bet that by 5 pm today it’ll be just fine to move around the area.
It’s my last day in Colorado training our new employees today; so we are busy going over the fine details and procedures. Our two new employees here with our veterans are catching on very quickly…
Yesterday we received 13 units at this location and shipped all thirteen. Here’s Kevin with his “stack” at the end of the day. We repaired and sent off a few iPad repairs, a few iPod repairs, and along with these mail-ins, we serviced every walk-in customer that came in as well. So far so good!!
We’re still arranging our nightly pickup and this “test” was a success. I’ve purposely had a few orders trickle in, and when they start receiving a hundred or so a day might be a little stressful, but with the proper training I think they will be just fine! In fact, the shipping area here at our Colorado location is well equipped and nice. I think my main shipping center in Kansas might be a little jealous! Don’t tell em about it 😉
After we close tonight at 7:00pm, we’re headed out to travel back to Kansas. I’ll see you back at the Corporate Headquarters tomorrow!
