Lakewood, Colorado Ribbon Cutting was a success!

Good afternoon friends of Mission Repair-

It’s Tuesday afternoon, St. Patrick’s Day, and our Ribbon Cutting Event at our new Lakewood, Colorado store was a success. Our team lined up in front of the camera:

And then I used those gigantic scissors to cut the ribbon and we got this action shot:

Laura at the chamber was very accommodating and it’s great to be part of such a HUGE chamber. It’s small businesses working together, and that’s what we’re all about. I’d like to spend more time here in Colorado, but it’s almost time for our trip back to Kansas. Yeah, there’s a bit more “scenery” here in the Centennial State with the gorgeous Rocky Mountains and the unbelievable weather that we’ve had these last few days; but the mothership is calling. Kansas here I come!

Talk to you again from Olathe tomorrow,

Ryan

The “New” Mission Kansas unveiling approaches!

Hello everyone,

The City of Mission, Kansas is wrapping up construction and providing cleanup of the downtown area to launch and dedicate the new streets and sidewalks that they have been working to complete. In fact, I am totally impressed by how quickly things got done, and Johnson Drive just looks spectacular!

Today, I received the new “Hometown Mission Magazine” in the mail that comes out every 2 months. Our Mission Repair Express pre-celebration ad is in, and looks great!

So we have lots of fun things happening at Mission Repair Express this weekend and we hope to see you there. This includes a holiday season savings and a Mission Passport that the City is handing out. Be sure to grab yourself a swag bag to take advantage of the deals that will be happening this weekend at Mission Repair Express. We’ll see you there!

Take care, Ryan

Cement shoes.

Hello again everyone-

Wow, the construction progress is really coming along up at our Mission Repair Express location. I want to apologize for all of you that braved the construction mess yesterday. If you stopped by our Mission, Kansas location for a smartphone repair you saw that the sidewalk directly in front of our store was GONE! The jackhammers came out yesterday morning and drilled all day long.

Today, we have a BRAND NEW BEAUTIFUL sidewalk! The contractors said that we can walk on it in about 2 more hours, so the construction “pain” is almost complete. The issue is that it’s wet now; so if you make the trek in the next hour you might find yourself with some cement shoes. Please be patient – the weather is cooperating with us and it’s HOT outside. My guess is that within a couple of hours it will be ready!

Thanks for your patronage. We had over 50 people walk in to our Mission location yesterday despite the construction; thank you. I promise that it’s almost over!

Best, Ryan

Have your made your fantasy picks yet?

Happy Friday friends! It’s true…football 2014 has started.

Have you made your fantasy football picks yet? Just so you know, I had to stop playing fantasy football. It’s not that I’m better than it, nor was I actually very good at playing; it is just too big of a distraction from the games I really want to watch, so this year I am NOT going to play.

Now with that being said, I know that just about every one of my friends is in a league or two and I’m definitely not “normal” in that sense. In fact, some of my buddies think that I’m absolutely nuts. Hey guys, you’re just going to have to deal with it!

For the rest of you that are either NFL fans or not, it’s hard to not notice that the football season has started. In fact we are running a football promotion with discounts on every repair service that we offer through our newsletter that is going out to tens of thousands of customers today. Keep an eye out for it, because there will be a special coupon just for you football fans out there. It’s a great time to get hat iPad or Computer repaired. Until then, have a great afternoon and I’ll be back soon with more great Mission Repair info.

Where is August going?

Hello friends,

It’s almost mid-August and time is flying by! My son Casey started his senior year of school today (I won’t embarrass him with the picture I took today) and he was even early this morning. If you’re already out of High School (like me!) do you remember your senior year?

Mine was at Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton, California. It’s kind of funny because now that I’m living in Kansas (Casey started school here and is finishing here), I get to tell my kids stories about how I used to go to Santa Cruz on the weekends, our lockers were outside of the school (not in hallways like they are here!) and we ate lunch outside…every day…yes even through the winter. Obviously, the weather is different in California and therefore the schools were set up differently. In fact, we also had “Open” lunches where we could leave campus and chow down at the Burrito Stop next to the school. Looking back now, it was a great benefit!

I grew up spending summers here- this bring back a lot of memories!

I grew up spending summers here- this bring back a lot of memories!

Well the hot August nights that we usually get here in Kansas City are unusually cool this year. It’s been a very mild summer when we normally expect a lot of heat and humidity. I’m not going to kid ya, it’s been nice! My yard is still green when typically I can’t keep up with the heat!

There’s a lot happening around here at Mission Repair too. We’ve added several new products and repairs to our lineup of services, we’re in “super” repair mode with all of the schools coming back online and there’s some great news coming down the pike about Mission Repair. I just can’t believe that it’s already August…NFL football has started and it’s feels like Fall is upon us. We’re moving into another season next month which also begins the busy season here for us as well. I’ll be planning my company Christmas party soon and talking about the New Year before we know it!

OK, that’s enough fast forwarding 😉 Stop…relax…enjoy August! I’ll be back soon with some great Mission Repair info!

Take care, Ryan
