What is Black Friday?

The day After Thanksgiving (Friday) is known as Black Friday. This also typically starts the holiday shopping season. Almost all stores come out with blockbuster sales and specials and early bird specials to attract consumers to their stores. People can stand in line hours before store is opened just to grab the bargain of the year. Almost every store has something that interests every one. For bargain hunters black Friday might be their biggest festival of the year.

So why is there a Black Friday in July? I think it was developed by retailers to give the bargain minded consumer another chance to get a great deal half-way through the year instead of waiting for the turkey to wear off. So we’re joining in!

Yes, Mission Repair will have some amazing never-before-seen-so-low specials this Friday 7/25/14. However we will only share them via our newsletter so you need to sign up now to get the savings!

Stay tuned – our first Black Friday in July is coming this week!

Take care, Ryan

Santa is coming. Should I be embarrassed?

So my wife emailed me this afternoon- and I’m not sure what to think about it.

These are my dogs. The one on the floor, our male “Shadow” and the female in Santa’s lap “Layla” are our babies, there’s no question. But I’m feeling something is a little off seeing my dogs sitting there with the red-suited-white-bearded stranger.

I mean, Shadow is a protection dog and will not hesitate to attack a stranger when needed. I guess I wasn’t there for this session, so he didn’t feel the need to “protect” me, but seeing him next to Santa somehow diminishes his masculinity to me. I mean, this dog is amazing, well trained and prideful. In this picture he seems a bit defeated. Truthfully I’m not sure what I’m actually feeling right now šŸ˜‰

Furthermore, Layla is a “scaredy-dog” and I can’t even imagine what it took to get her to sit in this Santa’s lap. I don’t know. Half of me wants to delete this pic so I never have to see it again. The other half says “what’s the harm”, it’s the holiday season and it’s cute. I guess.

So here’s to the amazing amount of funny, laughable, cute and amazing pictures we’re going to witness this holiday season. I think this pic deserves a special discount dedicated just for it on our Mission Repair website. Here it is: use coupon code “funnysanta” when checking out online and receive 13% off of any repair we offer between for the 2013 holiday season. Coupon code expires on Christmas, 12/25/13 so act fast!

Have a funny Santa pic of your own? Email it to “sales@missionrepair.com” and we’ll take off an additional 5% off of your repair just for participating. Maybe I’ll even write a blog about your pic…we’ll see!

Take care, talk to you again soon, Ryan

We’re not just an Apple Repair Center.

Scenario:

A typical day at Mission Repair starts at 8:00 am, the call center starts to light up with activity. “Ring”. We take a customer service phone call from a distressed customer looking for a solution to their problem: a broken smart phone. “Do you fix devices other than iPhones?”

Macbook Pro Keyboard Repair Service!

Hello M:R Nation –

Coffee, beer, water, hot chocolate, motor oil… you name the liquid, we have seen it spilt on a keyboard. From one customers account, who has spilled multiple liquids on multiple computers, “It all happens in slow motion… I hit the cup with my hand and SPLASH, all over my keyboard….again!”

When something like a liquid spillage occurs, the results will vary depending on said liquid. The keys will stick, become “spongy”, fall off and in most cases, stop working all together. This makes it hard to input anything into your laptop. Most people resort to a usb keyboard. There is nothing fun about going to your favorite coffee ship and taking out your sleek Macbook Pro and then whipping out a huge keyboard. It’s called a “Laptop” for a reason :-).
