Shopping for a new home – easier said than done!

Good morning everyone!

We are at a cross-roads here at Mission Repair in our Olathe location, and our long-term lease is coming due. So this big question is, do we renew or relocate our headquarters?

I’ve poised the question to our employees at our quarterly meeting, and we have a split decision. I mean we just finished out new shipping room and new break room and it seems that we are all doing quite well with the space we have…in fact there’s still more room to grow. However our current space is down a dead end street and not all that convenient for our customers to find us.

drivethru

How would a drive through work? It’s possible that Mission Repair will have the first drive-through iPhone repair center in the country (that I know of) – so we are working on it. It would be especially helpful in the cold winter months here in Kansas so our customers wouldn’t have to jump out of the car with the kiddos in the snow…things become a mess.

Well, we’ve got another meeting today at 11:00am to visit a few locations right off of I35, so I’ll have an answer for us soon. It’s a tough decision to move from a home that we love; and yes I only live about 5 miles from our current location. Maybe it’s time to relocate a bit for our customer’s sake, we’ll have some more info for you soon!

Take care, have a great day in the sunshine, wherever you are.

Ryan

200,000 people can’t be wrong!

Greetings friends-

This is just a short post as Iโ€™m looking through our database โ€“ we passed 200,000 completed repairs today. That puts us into a new category in my book. . .and reaching milestones like this at my business is just a fun way to get a little personal โ€œrewardโ€ without asking for it. The numbers speak for themselves!

Thank you to all of our customers. 200,000 repairs and counting!

Thank you to all of our customers. 200,000 repairs and counting!

So who cares? Well I do, and for those customers that are shopping around for a reputable business to care for their trusty electronic device at least you know that Mission Repair is servicing real volume, and after seeing hundreds of thousands of cracked iPhones and iPads in the last 7 years, we have really gotten to know our stuff ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thanks for reading, this is more of a pat on the back to all of my employees that have stayed strong and that believe in what weโ€™re doing here at Mission Repair. Itโ€™s what we do.

Take care, Ryan

Time to do some good again…

Happy Friday friends,

I’m gearing up for the PurpleStride 5K taking place tomorrow, Saturday, May 2nd which support the fight against pancreatic cancer. I’m part of a running team – “The Lakers” – not because of the professional basketball team, but because we all love the lake.ย  Speaking of the lake, I think it’s time to get the ski boat out of storage and into the water…but that’s another blog altogether ๐Ÿ˜‰

Screen Shot 2015-05-01 at 11.11.07 AMWe are hoping to get an even bigger group than last year to run / walk in memory of several friends and family members, including my father Gary Arter that passed away a few years ago from this terminal disease.

So I’m here at Panera Bread this morning catching up on a few Mission Repair blogs and emails…there are times that working “out of the office” is good for me.ย  Oh yeah, and I can finish up my “training” for the 5K by having a bagel and cream cheese.ย  Ok, so I’m cheating a bit with my diet today, but from experience:ย  you’ve got to do what keeps you happy.ย  Right now, it’s a bagel and cream cheese for me ๐Ÿ˜‰

Have a great day everyone, Ryan

Mission Repair contruction – again. It seems to never stop but there’s a COUPON INSIDE!

Hello friends, it’s been a whirlwind week here at Mission Repair. I find myself saying that a lot, but truthfully we are really busy. In fact, Monday of this week April 6, 2015 – we had a record receiving day for repairs – the most in company history. More than Cyber Monday, Black Friday, or any other normal “big” day for us.

What was so special about April 6th? Not a thing that I can tell. We are working diligently on our marketing and trying a few new things…

Which leads me to our newest expansion. We are creating a new shipping and receiving room at our Corporate Headquarters in Olathe. We just need more space. Truth is that we are moving from one building to the next, but the shipping and receiving area that we have now if just too small for our needs. Hence the expansion. Luckily, we had the room…for the new room!

The sheetrock is up, and right now it’s in the “messy” stage with a lot of dust and debris everywhere. But once it’s done, we’ll have even better capabilities than before. Adding this 500 square feet of dedicated space will also help us stay organized, “on the ready” and will even keep our employees in a climate controlled room during the summer. We’ve tried to work in a space without air conditioning before, and it is just a little bit miserable in the summers.

What’s today’s coupon? If you’ve read this far you must be interested. Today and tomorrow, we are giving a 15% off coupon for all new orders placed online, over the phone or when you come into one of our locations. Just use the coupon “organize” and you’ll get 15% off your entire order. Coupon expires midnight 4/10/15, and cannot be combined with any other coupon or special, and is not available for “got repair” services. Questions? Give us a call at 866-638-8402.

Thanks, and have a great day.

Hello everyone- we sent out a newsletter yesterday to our local region, and if you missed it, we’ve got the special right here for you.

mission

We are offering 20% off on any repair now through Friday at closing time (which is 7:00 pm, CST) if you visit our location in Mission, Kansas. The address is 5604 Johnson Drive, Mission Kansas 66202, and you can get directions here.

Please note that this is NOT valid on mail-in orders; don’t worry for all of our customers in other areas of the country we will make sure to offer you a special shortly. Rather, this is valid on new walk-in repairs at our newest store. Why? We are celebrating the “near” completion of the downtown district redesign and if you remember the “old down town”, you’ll see that the streets have been improved, the sidewalks are wider and well designed, and the parking is much better. This store of ours is downtown in a great location and now you don’t need to walk through a construction zone to get to it ๐Ÿ˜‰

It’s a customer appreciation sale and all you need to do to get this special pricing is print out a copy of this blog (or the newsletter if you’re a subscriber), walk in to our Mission Repair Express location now through tomorrow evening at 7:00pm, show your customer service representative this special and place your repair order to receive the 20% discount.

Thank you.

Ryan
