iPod Touch 5 or 6…how can you tell the difference? Let’s discuss.

It’s not easy, but on the iPod Touch 5, there’s a “loop button” that you could attach a lanyard to…and the new iPod Touch 6 doesn’t have it! The differences are on the inside. The Processing chip is one of the two biggest upgrades in the new iPod touch. It matches the iPhone 6 with a 64-bit Apple A8 SoC – a huge step forward from the 2011-era A5 found in the old model.

The camera is the other big upgrade in the new iPod touch. Its rear camera has the same 8 MP resolution that the last four iPhone flagships (starting with the iPhone 4s) have had.

The great news is that we re now offering a full line of repairs, and have already satisfied several customers (fixing broken screens mostly!) So if you find yourself having problems with your new Touch, give Mission Repair a call.

See ya, Ryan

But my iPod is REALLY cracked! Wow.

Good evening friends,

We hear it every day. “Can you fix my iPod?”

We recently had a story from a customer that needed some extra attention. She lost her phone (set it on the car), and it ended up on the road and clearly run over and sitting out in the elements until she found it the next day.

Here’s how we received it:

This is where we work our magic. The sense of urgency to help is in or blood, and within a few minutes Lennie had the screen off and replaced. Here’s the “after” and the old part sitting next to it:

So even run over, sitting on the road, falling off a car, the answer is still yes…we can fix your iPod. Just give us a call and we can check it out for free for you if you’d like. Tayler, Robbie, Derrick, Cory, Sydney, Amber and heck, everyone else is there for you to take your call.

Thanks for reading, Ryan
