Our new Lenexa, Kansas location is fully operational! Except for the air conditioning that is.

Good morning!

All of the usual bugs and glitches hit us yesterday on our first day in our new building and we took it in stride…until the air conditioning in the building went out.

The best part is that we’re in the middle of a heat wave here in the Kansas City area this week; so it’s making for a heck of an uncomfortable work day. Today is starting off a little worse, because it’s already 78 degrees in here. Oh well, it can’t all be perfect, right?

We did have an impressive amount of customers that came in yesterday stating that they waited for this location to open, so it was a huge success. (Thanks to Carol and Jason that I was able to personally spend a little time with yesterday afternoon!) We stayed late and took care of as many customers as we could, and we’re back in here early to do the same today! It’s what we do.

I’m hopeful that the air conditioning will be back to normal in the early afternoon so if you’d like to wait a bit to come in, I wouldn’t blame you 😉

Thanks again to all of our customers that helped us make our first day at Mission Repair in Lenexa Kansas a huge success. We appreciate it!

I’ll be back soon, Ryan

Mission: what’s next?

Hello there on this fine Thursday afternoon;

I just got back to my home office where the plans are in place to get moving into our newest location in Lenexa. I have close to “a million” emails that I need to get to, but some of the important items on my list today are complete.

I stopped by the office in Olathe and my staff was hot and frothy…we’ve had an unbelievable amount of walk-in business today and my technicians along with my customer service representatives are all running at 110%. Tayler was holding her own, Dylan was in a great mood, Derrick, Roger, Lennie and everyone else were all working as a team. It really feels like there’s a lot of good going on right now.

However do you ever feel like leaving the office with a list of items on the “to do” list is a bad thing? That’s where I’m at when it comes to my daily activity list because there’s just no way for me to get everything done that I want to get done. It’s better for my psychi to feel accomplished, so I’m going to be working a little late tonight and I’m OK with that. What’s new, right?

With that being said, Mission Repair is getting a fresh start in a few weeks. We will be moving into a new Mission Repair location in Lenexa, Kansas and I’m really excited about that. My employees have some new opportunities for growth and the ceiling is lifted for them to learn and grow and be successful. I’m traveling again in a couple of days to my Lakewood, Colorado location and it’s always great to get up into the mountain air of the Rockies.

We are focused in on our goal of being the best service center for iPod, iPhones, Macs and Smartphones; and everything that we do is to bring the best possible experience. Have any questions on how we can help you? Give us a call at 866-638-8402. We’re here answering your calls until 7:00pm CST all week, and until 5:00pm on Saturday. Oh yes, we will be open on Sunday shortly per customer demand, I hear ya, we’ll be here for you.

Have a good evening, it’s looking like a delivery pizza is in my future. Yum.

Take care, Ryan

iPod Repair at Mission Repair.

Hello there-

With all of the data that we store at Mission Repair from the hundreds of thousands of repairs that we’ve performed for customers all across the country, I can see that iPod Repairs USED to be our number one service in terms of total numbers;

Screen Shot 2015-07-14 at 10.36.06 AM

But this year they have been surpassed by the iPhone repairs that we offer. We still service a significant amount of 4th Generation iPod Touch screens, and I think that my techs can do it in their sleep. In fact, we just trained Casey our newest technician to repair these yesterday to help break the monotony on the production line.

Also, it’s true that since the discontinuation of the iPod Classic by Apple, the demand for 160GB hard drives (the behemoth) has been on the rise, and the supplies and replacement drives are becoming more rare and expensive. Just a tidbit for those that like to keep 160GB of music on them at all times! Depending on how the music is formatted, that’s somewhere in the neighborhood of 28,000 songs. That should keep you busy for a while, but be sure to take care of that hard drive. Soon, they will be impossible to get!

Thanks, talk to you again soon, Ryan
