Mission:Complete! We’re opening Monday!

Hello friends-

It’s been a long road but we made good time…Mission Repair Express is going to open Monday morning, St. Patrick’s Day, 3/17/14! Yes, now I can look forward no longer painting for a while 😉

welcometomission

We’ve got some surprises in store for you, and we know that many of you have been waiting for us to open this new store. In fact, we’ve received several calls setting appointments for Monday; however remember that appointments are not necessary and we are open 7 days a week to serve you. We are at 5604 Johnson Drive in Mission, Kansas. Get it? “Mission, Kansas?” Yes, it’s perfect.

Mission Repair in Olathe is still going strong, but customer demand has driven this new location. We encourage you to stop on by and check us out. If you do pop in on Monday, we’re handing out $15 off coupons (no purchase necessary) for your next visit in the future (if you ever need us). Tell us what you think about the new store – what kind of accessories you’d like us to carry, what kind of services you’d like us to perform, or any other general inquiries or ideas are welcome.

So I’m happy to announce that we are on final cleanup and walk through this weekend. In fact, I’m sitting at the front desk typing this blog from the new Express location this afternoon and it feels great!

Thanks for your patience, the service lab is open on St. Patrick’s Day…and the party favors are on us!

Have a great weekend, Ryan

iPhone 5 repair completed at Mission Repair!

Hello again Mission Repair fans,

As I was talking about in my blog post from yesterday, we received our first iPhone 5 repair order which arrived at our service center today. The unit came in and we snapped these few pics of the customer’s device as received:

Here’s a picture of the glass once removed from the customer’s device:

Here’s the customer’s unit back in business:

Once repaired, the glass, LCD and the iPhone 5 as a whole are working perfectly. We installed a brand new glass panel today, the same day the unit was received and shipped it back out to the customer. It’s true, this is a bad situation for the customer as he just received his new phone and was excited to have it – just as we all are – and it’s definitely a bummer when accidents happen.

We here at Mission Repair have been in the repair business for years and we understand the frustrations of this scenario which is why we do our best to service our customers with speed and highest quality repairs in the industry. Mission Repair is run with the customer in mind and the customer’s experience is our first priority.

Additionally, Mission Repair’s internal production line can handle a large volume of repairs per day- So if you’re in need of a dealer account or a high-volume repair option (from 10 to 1,000 per day) to handle your IT department’s gadget repairs for your business or school, feel free to call our dealer hotline toll-free at 877-775-8959.

Have a great day,

Ryan Arter
President at Mission Repair.

Another Labor Day weekend in the books!

Good morning everyone, we’ve got our working caps back on and we’re back in the groove here at Mission Repair. We all took a much needed day off yesterday but that always puts us in a bind because we’ve got to speed up production to make up for lost time. Sometimes I wonder if it makes sense to ever actually take a day off!

How was your weekend? I’m going to share a personal tidbit which may or may not interest you. . .but I adopted another dog this weekend. Shadow came home to us on Friday night, so it’s been a pretty fun weekend nevertheless 😉

Shadow is a rescued dog from an abusing family. In fact, the official report is that he was beaten with logging chains for a year until someone finally turned in his previous owner. He was on the docket to be destroyed. . .until a local German Shepherd Rescue team swooped in and brought him in. He’s from Pennsylvania, moved to a foster home for a month, then moved again to our house here in Kansas.

We’re going to fix him up and give him a loving home. This guy is super smart and is a soldier – he’s tough as nails but is a lovable goof ball at the same time. This entire weekend he stayed right next to me and I’ve taught him to “sit”, “stay”, “come”, and to “shake” on demand. Once I get him to repair an iPhone, I’ll know he’s something special.

Actually he is something special and I feel great being able to give him a good home. If you’d like to learn more about the rescue team that saved Shadow or if you’re interested in helping out, check out their website here. Careful, you may come home with a new puppy 😉

OK I’m going to check in with our sales department and I’ll be back soon with more good Mission Repair information!

Take care, Ryan

Key West, Key Lime, and a Coupon!

So we headed to Key West recently with some friends and since we’re in “warm up” season around the country and you might want to start making vacation plans, I would highly recommend Key West as a fun place to visit. I had never been there before – but knew that it would prove to be a lively and warm place to hang out and sight see for a few days. The cool part is that we flew into Miami and drove into Key West over the bridges that connect the Florida keys. It was very cool!

As we moved along the route, my buddy Darrin was like a tour guide and pointed out the interesting spots along the way. “Don’t stray too far from the road”. I wondered why. “Gators will getcha”. Oh, we don’t have those in Kansas City!

Here’s a screenshot from the 1994 movie “True Lies” when the “blow up” occurred. The bridge that was blown up was an 80′ model of the 7 Mile Bridge. The old bridge (where they did the shot) was already “blown up”, when they opened the new bridge.

Here’s a picture that I took with my iPhone along the bridge to Key West, where the movie was filmed “after” the explosion:

So once again, if Key West comes up as a possible vacation destination (or if you get lucky enough to take a business meeting there!) I highly recommend the trip. Well that is if you like sun, blue water, shopping and fun. I’ll be going back.

So along with this little travel tidbit from “yours truly”, I’m also extending a coupon that is good for any iPod, iPhone, iPad or other service or part that we offer. This coupon is good now through 4/24/12. Use coupon code “KEYLIME” to receive 15% off your order. Then you can start saving for that vacation 😉

Take care, I’m dreaming of the beach. Ryan

Did you know that we repair logic boards?

Hi again everyone, I just got off the phone with a customer that asked “do you repair iPod logic boards?”

My answer is “YES”!! We are a repair company and we can repair logic boards. The logic board is the main board (also called mother board or the brain of each unit) and sometimes these boards can fail over time. They can even fail when a unit is dropped or if it comes in contact with water. We can surface mount solder or through-hole solder. Heck, a lot of the batteries in these “iDevices” are soldered on so your repair company needs to know how to do this! We have the diagnosing capabilities to resolve tons of unknown or nearly undetectable issues.

Why is this important?

Well there are other businesses out there that DON’T offer logic board repairs. This is a key ingredient to having a successful repair business because we can do it all. Don’t settle for less.

Not only can we repair iPod logic boards, we can repair iPhone, iPad, and any laptop computer logic board (this includes Windows based computer and Mac Laptops). If we can’t repair it, there’s NO CHARGE – because frankly there are times that the repair can be too entailed or the circuitry can be too fried or beyond repair, but we are up for the challenge.

So rest assured when you send your device to us, you have the full gamut of options and we’re on your side.

Thanks, Ryan

Back to school and a coupon code!

How does a 15% off Back to School Special sound? The reason that I’m offering this now is because I just took my kids “back to school shopping” and it wasn’t cheap. I mean after the laundry list of supplies that we needed and the clothes and lunch money deposits, I wasn’t left with much in my wallet!

So in response to this money madness I’m going to spur the economy. . .We’re offering 15% off any iPod Repair, iPad Glass repair, MacBook upgrade or any other service that we offer now though August 21, 2011 at Midnight so don’t delay.

Just enter coupon code “DEUCE” to receive that 15% off starting immediately. I’ll be back soon with more awesome information!

Best, Ryan
