It was an awesome weekend and Monday has already come and (is almost) gone. Tonight at Mission Repair we have a quarterly company meeting; we gather all of the employees and get together to discuss issues, promotions, new hires, new policies, new repairs, etc. It’s a good time and tonight we are having Oklahoma Joe’s BBQ cater in the dinner. Ever been to Oklahoma Joe’s? It’s one of the restaurants that you need to add to your bucket list. We take it for granted here in Kansas City, but for those that travel from abroad, this is a famous and popular stop for many.
Almost time for some BBQ!
I was just thinking that next week is a short week! Yes, for most of us we will be taking the day off next Monday for Labor Day- but a lot of you in retail will be working. I get it; we are in a bit of a conundrum here at Mission Repair. We have always taken the day off; but now we have a retail location that is open 7 days a week. Does that mean that we should also close the retail location (as well as our corporate headquarters) to accommodate all of the employees? I need to think about this and time is running out!
In any case, we have a lot to do this week to be ready for the Labor Day rush. We will be putting out an amazing newsletter at the end of the week with some serious prices drops on some of our most popular services. Have an iPhone 5S screen that’s cracked? It’ll go on sale Friday afternoon if you can wait!
Otherwise, have a great weekend and I’ll talk to you again tomorrow. Melanie has promised me that she’s going to blog again in the morning, it’ll be good to hear from her.
After my lunch with Brae, it’s Thursday afternoon and it seems like the entire country is going back to school right now; my son Casey was just in my office this morning (he had an interview at the Olathe Police department, kind of cool!) and we were discussing his LAST YEAR of school. He is going to be a Senior this year, and then like some sort of magic – he will be done with school and off to bigger and better things. We aren’t quite sure what that means for him yet…a career in law enforcement? Become a chef? Who knows for sure…but college is in his future and right around the corner.
What I realized is that I just registered my youngest child for his senior year in high school. This is it, no more school registrations for me! I can just remember when I was saying “I can’t wait until I get both of my kids into Kindergarten. That will be great”. Well, not only is my daughter already in her 3rd year of college (holy moly) but my son is finishing High School this year. Simply amazing.
I can tell that the entire country is in “Back to School” mode and it pretty much effects everyone, even those without children. I’ve seen a ton of Facebook posts today and many kids are starting back up already! Casey goes back next Thursday to begin the first day of his last year of school, and I know he’s 50% excited and 50% dreading that summer is already over.
We’re in the Back to School Spirit here at Mission Repair too. In fact, Melanie and I are working on a Newsletter that will release this afternoon with an awesome back to school special. We know you’re busy, and we can seen by our huge increase in orders that families are scrambling to get devices fixed before the school year (in fact, the school IT departments are back from vacation and sending in Purchase Orders like crazy!) and we want to help if we can. Our Newsletter special will help offset some of the costs that families might be incurring with all of the back to school madness. Want to be a part of the Newsletter blast? Just sign up here and you’ll get a copy later today!
Thanks again for reading everyone, and I’ll be back this afternoon in your email inbox with the Mission Repair “Back To School” special!
I was just visiting our Mission, Kansas store this morning and got into a conversation with a couple of our customers as they walked into Mission Repair Express…I was standing outside with Lennie, Albert, Wade and TJ discussing new potential signage on the front of the store.
I asked a gentleman, “Did you know that we had more than one location?” I asked the next guy…and a third customer that ended up being extremely helpful and insightful on the storefront in general. However none of them knew that there are multiple Mission Repair locations with more on the way.
How is this possible? I did a little research and found that it might be a bit confusing when searching for us on the web to see more than our Corporate Headquarters location. We do have a “locations” link at the top of our website, but it’s clear to me that there’s some confusion with this topic.
You can visit any of our locations with no appointment necessary. They all carry the same business hours: M-F 8am to 7pm, Weekends are 10am to 5pm.
Stay tuned: We are opening a new location in the Denver, Colorado area in late 2014 and currently training for that location now! Yay, this is getting fun!
We are running a 10% coupon special today and tomorrow – to save on your entire repair order including shipping. It doesn’t matter what device you need fixed – use this coupon and save on the iPhone or iPod repair today! Or MacBook. Or smartphone. Or Chromebook. You get the idea!
It’s been a rainy morning here in Kansas City, so we understand the issues with getting out to visit one of our locations. Never fear, you can place your order online and bring your device in when you’re ready, or place your order online we’ll pick it up from your location anywhere in the USA – just as we have been doing for the better part of a decade…
In any case, if you place an order with us today or tomorrow, use coupon code “weather” when checking out. If you stop by one of our locations just bring a print out of this blog post or show it to your customer service rep via your hand-held device and we’ll get that coupon applied to your order.
Coupon expires tomorrow June 6th, 2014 at Midnight, so act quickly! This coupon cannot be combined with any other discount.
Have a great day and stay dry if you’re in the Kansas City area.
When I say “huge supply” I know it’s hard to read exactly what I’m saying. I’m purposefully vague about our numbers around here at Mission Repair for several reasons (one of which is that we are a privately held company), but I will say that we’ve received the biggest supply on these screens to date and they are in stock and ready for installation. When the freight truck pulls up and the driver asks us for a forklift; that’s a big shipment!
The iPhone 5S is a fantastic device, but for those of you that have worked on these personally…you know the dangers of working with the home button cable and with the logic board itself. These are very critical and touchy parts and quite frankly extremely hard to replace or repair if damaged. Trust me, we know…we have learned the hard way.
There’s a point at which you might want to trust the professionals, and at Mission Repair we have a fantastic solution for you if you have a cracked iPhone 5S screen. Parts in stock and at a price that you can afford. One of the best parts about using our service is that we will keep your data in tact and you’ll receive your phone back with all of your pictures, contacts and apps just as you left them. You can’t even get this from Apple themselves if they replace your phone for you!
