iPhone 5S Screen Repair – $149 installed!

Good morning,

We’ve received a huge supply of iPhone screens.

When I say “huge supply” I know it’s hard to read exactly what I’m saying. I’m purposefully vague about our numbers around here at Mission Repair for several reasons (one of which is that we are a privately held company), but I will say that we’ve received the biggest supply on these screens to date and they are in stock and ready for installation. When the freight truck pulls up and the driver asks us for a forklift; that’s a big shipment!

The iPhone 5S is a fantastic device, but for those of you that have worked on these personally…you know the dangers of working with the home button cable and with the logic board itself. These are very critical and touchy parts and quite frankly extremely hard to replace or repair if damaged. Trust me, we know…we have learned the hard way.

There’s a point at which you might want to trust the professionals, and at Mission Repair we have a fantastic solution for you if you have a cracked iPhone 5S screen. Parts in stock and at a price that you can afford. One of the best parts about using our service is that we will keep your data in tact and you’ll receive your phone back with all of your pictures, contacts and apps just as you left them. You can’t even get this from Apple themselves if they replace your phone for you!

Mission Repair for iPhone 5S repair. The Intelligent Choice.

Take care, Ryan

Own a “vintage” phone?

Hello friends, I just watched a video on CNN.com that talked about the fad of owning and using a “vintage” cell phone. This was work related, so watching videos while at work is ok in this situation 😉

Apparently there is a new trend in cell phones – one that is making it “cool” to use an older, greyscale, non-smart phone as a sign and symbol of the times. I think that I might be one of the users that would quite possibly lean toward a “less-smart” smartphone – personally I’ve got so many means of communication with the outside world including through this blog I’m writing, that my cell phones seem to be on “offense” at all times. Yes, I have 2 phones, both set up and designed for very different purposes. Gulp.

In fact, I recently removed my email from my iPhone altogether and I’m a much happier man for it. I know, it’s strange…I just wait until I get to the office!

vintage

I find it a bit distracting when I’m out at a restaurant and see everyone swiping their phones; reading, texting, gaming or whatever. In my opinion it’s not a bad idea to take a break from the technology and look up once in a while.

UK manufacturer, Binatone, is making a new “Brick” phone. That’s right, it’s similar to the one that in the picture above, but it’s actually new and you can buy them now. Simple technology and a fashion statement to boot that come in several colors. There’s a caveat – you won’t get the smartphone experience. Not being able to Tweet or visit Facebook might freak you out for a minute but let’s face it, what did you do before Twitter and Facebook were around?

There’s a plus to older phones. Not only are they nostalgic but with the lack of a full-face glass screen they seemed indestructible. I can’t tell you how many times I dropped my old Blackberry on the ground and it NEVER failed. One drop of an iPhone and you’ll need to send it into us for glass repair. It’s how and why we are in business.

Are you willing to lose your smart features? Well that’s your call – no pun intended.

Happy talking, Ryan

We all need it overnight.

Hello friends-

Have you had to send anything overnight to anyone, anywhere recently? I just had to mail a letter (I’m talking USPS Priority Mail) to a P.O. Box, and when I went to our local Post Office, it cost me $24.85 to mail a letter (not even a package!) overnight to my recipient.

I was surprised at the amount. I mean this wasn’t a 10lb package, it was a letter for crying out loud. I understand that there are costs involved, especially when I requested OVERNIGHT service, but it just seemed high until I talked to the person beside me that said “if you send it FedEx, it would have been $60!”

keep-calm

Well, I would have sent it via FedEx from my office at Mission Repair, but FedEx doesn’t service overnight to Post Office Boxes. I had no choice but to use the Post Office. Why does the price seem high to me?

We send iPods, Tablets, Computers and a multitude of devices all over the country every day and we only charge $9.99 to send a 1 lb box anywhere in the USA. Well anywhere that’s not a P.O. box! That means any physical residential or commercial address. i.e. your house or work!

It’s $9.99 because we only are charged $9.99 from FedEx…

We don’t make any money on the shipment of course- we just pass the savings onto our customers that want and need overnight shipping. With the shear number of packages that we send we’ve been able to negotiate down our rates to astounding lows.

I spoke to a customer today that said “I live and die by my iPhone. I can’t be without it”. I can certainly understand the priority if you literally live and die by your device. Personally, if I lost my device I probably wouldn’t shed too many tears; in fact, a lot of my daily stress would probably go away. But to others, it their business, or their lifeline, or their only means of communication to the rest of the world and that’s why we offer overnight shipping options on all of our repairs. “Get ’em done fast” I always say.

It sounds like I could charge at least $24.85 for 1lb. overnight shipments…but I won’t. It doesn’t seem right to me so we’ll keep up the pace that we are currently at, and keep offering savings to our customers – which we know you like!

The last part of the rant today – it was about the line at the Post Office. Argh, I’ll save that for another blog!

Take care, have a great weekend. Ryan
