Now that’s what a cracked iPad looks like.

Good morning,

Every now and again I’ll snap a picture of a device that we receive for repair and share it here on the blog.  Some are normal “cracks” and bends; others are smashed up pretty good.  For some reason, my blog readers love looking at smashed units…so Carl at my Mission, Kansas store sent this picture to me last night:

Now that’s what a cracked iPad is supposed to look like, right?

I often wonder how these things happen…obviously this unit was dropped…but the exact story gets lost in the repair sometimes.  This unit appears to have been “dragged” along the concrete, like it fell off the roof of a car or slid down the driveway.  Most of the time, it doesn’t matter to us “how” it happened, but knowing sometimes satisfies the curiosity!

Have a cracked iPad Screen?  No problem.  We will take care of that repair for you, just drive on down to one of our locations (no appointment necessary) or give us a call and we’ll send FedEx to pick it up from your location anywhere in the USA.  Yes, even where you live, wherever that may be.

The iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and the Apple Watch were announced…what’s next on October 16th?

Hello everyone,

Apple released some of their biggest devices in the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus. Of course, they also announced the Apple Watch as well, however since we can’t get our hands on them until 2015, it’s tough to get too excited about them yet. I know that my buddy Troy is in line for one of their lime green Apple Watch Sport models. He just can’t wait. Tick-tock, tick-tock.

If you remember last year Apple introduced the iPad Air and it seems like the Air will be getting some updates in a few days. Touch scan home button added? I bet it does! There’s also been some rumors about a new anti-glare screen which would be a nice improvement as well for some; me in particular as I have trouble with the glass screens lately. I tend to even leave the lights off in my office to avoid screen glare at times on my iMac. Bottom line is some help here would be greatly appreciated from many users!

Will an iPad Pro be released?

Software releases: I’m sure there will be something that comes across for us here. If you had problems with iOS8 like I did, hopefully their newest releases will be enhanced and trouble free. I’m scared to upgrade my iPhone again…my last software update was kind of a nightmare.

Personally, I love these Apple announcements and look forward to hearing what Apple has coming for us. Stay tuned, Apple’s October 16th event is just a couple of days away- and just in time for the holiday shopping season!

Cement shoes.

Hello again everyone-

Wow, the construction progress is really coming along up at our Mission Repair Express location. I want to apologize for all of you that braved the construction mess yesterday. If you stopped by our Mission, Kansas location for a smartphone repair you saw that the sidewalk directly in front of our store was GONE! The jackhammers came out yesterday morning and drilled all day long.

Today, we have a BRAND NEW BEAUTIFUL sidewalk! The contractors said that we can walk on it in about 2 more hours, so the construction “pain” is almost complete. The issue is that it’s wet now; so if you make the trek in the next hour you might find yourself with some cement shoes. Please be patient – the weather is cooperating with us and it’s HOT outside. My guess is that within a couple of hours it will be ready!

Thanks for your patronage. We had over 50 people walk in to our Mission location yesterday despite the construction; thank you. I promise that it’s almost over!

Best, Ryan

Back to School sale- 10% off all repairs!

Hello everyone –

It’s been 2 days and my son Casey came to me last night and said “Whew, I’m tired. I’m not used to getting up and thinking all day at school”. Yeah, those summer breaks are pretty nice aren’t they bud? He’s adapting but he’s also a senior in High School and “real” life is about to hit him hard. I hope “senioritis” doesn’t set in too early in the year for him!
