Ok, you want more deals of the month? Here you go.

Well I could just stop at one…but the blogger in me says to “keep typing!”

So we’re lowering our price on another popular repair for the iPad with Retina glass replacement service.  This is also known as the 4th generation iPad (it’s a full-sized iPad, not a mini) and we receive these by the truckload from schools around the country.

Now’s the time to grab a special on this repair with no coupon needed!

I mentioned it in my last blog that this is a leap year.  So February gets an extra day of fun in it; I like that because it extends the month a bit and makes things easier on the business (this special runs until 2/29/16!).  It’s also a fun day that I’ve only seen 10 of in my life so far; 10 leap years.  Yikes.  I have a good friend that was born on leap year so we will be celebrating with her soon; she turns 40 years old, but is only 10 in leap years.  She’s such a youngster.

Take care, and send us an email if you have any questions about our services.

Of course, we service every state in the USA!

Hello friends, I’m back to get a few blogs done. I’ve been fairly quiet the last 5 days due to some personal issues, but rest assured I’ve been right here with you in spirit.

This will be news for some of you but not others…in case you didn’t know, we service every address in the USA. That’s right, just because you’re in Portland, Oregon or Miami, Florida; it doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t be able to receive the Awarded Services of Mission Repair. We take mail-ins from every state, every day!

Don't send your iPhone to us in an envelope like this! You're just looking for trouble here and we won't be able to help.

Don’t send your iPhone to us in an envelope like this! You’re just looking for trouble here and we won’t be able to help.

I want to reiterate some pertinent information that might help you when you send your device in to us; You’ll receive these instructions when you check out with us in an email, but let’s discuss a few items that causes us problems from time to time.

Please DO NOT include accessories such as A/C adapters, cases or earphones (unless you’d like us to test these items for you).

Take your time when packing up your device! The last thing that you’ll want to do is incur additional damage on the way to our Mission Repair facility. Here are a few helpful tips that will make your shipment go smoothly and hassle free. 1. Use a big enough box. We recommend that you have at least 2 inches of padding space around the entire device. If the box is the same size as your item, it will likely incur damage in transit!

2. DO NOT SEND your item in an envelope as there is not enough protection for the unit! Use appropriate padding! Bubble wrap, foam, or even crumpled newspaper will suffice. Wrap the device neatly and securely.

3. Insure your package for the incoming shipment. If you used our email label service please note that there is a maximum of $100 of insurance to cover this shipment. You may choose to send your device in on your own in the event you want more insurance for your device.

4. Seal the package! Don’t forget to tape the box closed.

5. Address the box – We have a designated repair department location for you.

Address your package to:

Mission Repair, Inc.
(ATTN: YOUR ORDER NUMBER)
9214 Marshall Drive
Lenexa, KS 66215

6. Finally, ship your item to us using a reliable carrier (i.e. FedEx, UPS or USPS) You should also insure your package for it’s replacement value, and use a service that you can track so you can view it’s progress into our facility. Mission Repair takes NO responsibility for the arrival of your unit under these conditions. If there is a service failure of any type on it’s way to us, you will need to contact the carrier and file the appropriate claims and/or grievances however we will help out in any way we can. We can help if you use our email label service, but remember that there is only a maximum of $100 insurance even if the device is lost in transit!

Interested in changing your shipping options after you placed your order? Give us a call and we will certainly help you out!

Thanks for your readership. I have a lot more coming!

5 Question to Ask your Cell Phone Repair Shop: According to eTechParts.com!

Hello there blog readers!

I just read a blog posted on eTech Parts (supplier of wholesale iPhone parts), and after reading it I appreciated what they are saying. Grace is their author, we know her well here at Mission Repair, and I’m going to go down their list (You can read the actual blog here):

1. What kind of warranty do you offer – and what does it cover?

Grace states “6 months is the average warranty period offered by wireless repair shops in the US”. That’s true. Here at Mission Repair we offer 1 year warranties on all of our screen repairs, and LIFETIME warranties on all battery installations. In addition to that, we have our “GOT REPAIR” warranty that is automatically included on each screen replacement which ensure that if you ever break your device’s screen again you never pay full-price again. Ask the “other guys” if they do that, and put it in writing like Mission Repair does!

2. How do you ensure the contents of my device remain private and protected?

Grace is right when she says “Protecting the privacy of your data is an important priority for repair shop owners.” Our company policies call for immediate termination of employees that break this cardinal rule. Additionally here at Mission Repair we don’t require your passcode if you want to ensure privacy protection.

3. Where do you get your replacement parts?

Grace is the expert in this field, she advises that not all cell phone repair parts are created equal. That’s eTech Parts’ business. Here at Mission Repair we understand it just as well. That’s why we don’t sell “special colors” of iPhone screens, and I caution anyone to buy a color of part that not stock. Not only do you KNOW it’s a knockoff part, it’s also illegal for repair companies to do so. Apple doesn’t like people messing with their trademarks.

4. Why are you cheaper (or more expensive) than other repair shops in town?

The blog reads: “You can learn a lot about a repair shop by how they speak (and what they know) about their competition.” This is a HUGE point; we here at Mission Repair have been in business for 8 years and in most cases, we set the market pricing. It’s somewhat comical to see…I’ll lower some prices, and the competition does the same thing the next day. That’s OK, I understand, but we base our pricing on reality, the market, and on demand. We are here to be fair and offer excellent pricing that appeals to anyone that needs a cell phone repair.

5. What happens if my phone is further damaged after leaving it with you?

Finally, a huge point that Grace makes is: “Most reputable wireless repair shops will give you a waiver form to fill out and sign, detailing their policies and what they will be responsible for in the case of further damage. An honest business owner knows the right thing to do in case this happens, but every repair shop has a different policy.”

Here at Mission Repair we ALWAYS do the right thing for our customers. If we break something we fix it. In fact, we have even fixed “incorrect fixes” performed by other shops…for free. It’s not our policy but there at times that I just feel terrible for the customers that get “taken”. My advice is DON’T work with a “traveling” repair man that meets you at a Starbucks. What would he do if he did accidentally and inadvertently broke something else while performing a repair? Does he have ALL of the necessary parts in his car? Does he have a soldering iron? A heat gun? A sonic cleaner? A toolbox with every tool? I’ll just answer this…it’s NO!
