Mission Repair East or West?

Hello everyone,

We’re making history today; the time has come and today will be the last day of Mission Repair “the old way”!

Starting Monday, 2/2/15, we are now splitting the country into halves for shipping and efficiency purposes.

It makes shipping, receiving, repair and turnaround more efficient, faster, and in the end better for all of our customers. Additionally, with this new location in Lakewood, Colorado that will be open on Monday, you can also visit us and walk-in your device for repair as well! that’s the idea behind this master plan and in fact, I’ll be in Lakewood on opening day Monday to say hello to all of our new customers.

Until then, thanks for reading and we’ll be back soon with more great info only found here at the Mission Repair blog!

Take care, Ryan

Mission Repair in Denver. Open next Monday!

Hello again friends, as we wrapped up a few final details this weekend at our Lakewood store, we were able to slip out of the Denver area yesterday at about 3:00pm for the drive back to Kansas City. As I was sitting in the car, I snapped this lovely shot of Lennie just below our temporary sign that was installed yesterday morning:

Yes, we were in construction mode and maybe it’s not the “best” picture of him, but we’ll get a laugh out of it anyway. Our new LED sign will be installed in a few weeks, but until then you’ll be able to find us as we just got our Google + page and Facebook fan page built for this new location.

A few more days here in Kansas City and I’ll haed back with our Store Manager to unlock the doors and greet our new Denver area customers. Stay tuned and we look forward to sharing more get pic (not of Lennie) soon!

Take care, Ryan

TBT: Mission Repair Is Expanding Again

Happy Throwback Thursday! This time last year we were working hard to complete the renovations to our new location in Mission, KS. It takes a lot of hard work to get a new location up and running but it is also really fun watching the transformation unfold. Our Mission location on Johnson Drive and Nall used to be Gass Camera repair and it took time and dedication to get it into the service center it is today.

If you have been reading our newsletters you have heard that we are opening a new location in Lakewood, CO on February 2nd. We have a group heading up there this weekend to finish up the new location, pass out business cards and promote the business – we are really excited! This location will be just like our locations in Kansas. They will include a team of certified technicians and customer service representatives that can take care of any iPod, Smartphone, Tablet and Computer repair needs you may have.

Stay tuned for updates on our Grand Opening : )

Happy Thursday,
Melanie

On a personal note…

Good morning,

I try not to post my family vacation videos or talk to too personally here on the Mission Repair blog, but I’m just going to break a few rules today 😉 After all, it’s what I feel like writing about this morning!

My son Casey turned 18 years old yesterday. Here he is as he arrived home from his Police Explorer program last night, and we surprised him with a few gifts. Of course, he’s holding up his Lego “Police Car” that he received at the PD station in his group.

The fun part about this birthday was a little about me, because I’ve been saving several items from BEFORE he was born, through his birth, and a few years into his life, and put them all into his “Time Capsule” that I’ve been hiding for 18 years.

So we cracked it open last night and found all of the goodies that brought back a ton of memories and gave him some insight as to what I was thinking and doing around the time he was born in 1997.

I had a couple of newspapers saved in there headlining Princess Diana’s accident (yup, that was 1997, 18 years ago, wow), some old coins from the early 1900’s that I’ve been saving, some memorabilia from my grandfather from WWII, and several other personal items and pictures for us to talk about.

The night was fun filled and eventful. I feel great that I was able to raise this kid and he is my youngest…but now he’s a “man”. I put that in quotes because that point is debatable 😉

For all the parents out there: I highly recommend the “time capsule” if you have the option. It worked out great!

OK, back to work for me. If you saw my blog post from last night, you know that I’m heading out to Denver today after dinner. Here’s to a new chapter in Casey’s life, and at Mission Repair. A lot is happening right now!

I’ll talk to you again soon, Ryan

Mile high- here we come!

Good evening friends – this time tomorrow we’ll nearly be in the Mile-High City of Denver, Colorado.

Just minutes from Downtown is the beautiful city of Lakewood – where our new home will be – for the next Mission Repair location! If you’ve been following my blog, you already know that the new site will open soon, and we will announce the Grand Opening date next week. iPhone Repair by the company that started it all in the Denver area? You guessed it!

Our last Grand Opening (which occurred in 2014) was met with a lobby full of people and a thrilled response. I can’t wait to see what kind of waves our newest location will bring to the market. We’ve carefully made the decision to locate in a high-traffic location with a ton of amenities around, and we’ve already made friends with some of the local businesses. Of course, we love making new friends!

This weekend we will be installing some of the signage and finalizing the custom lit Mission:Repair sign that will hang above the building that will be made over the next couple of weeks. As with any new location, there’s a lot to do, to buy, to install, to paint and to clean- but before you know it we will be ready for business.

This new location is strategic in a bigger master plan that’s to come. In fact, if you’re west of my new Lakewood location and a mail in customer, your device will flow to this new Colorado location seamlessly for faster turnaround and faster shipping. That’s designed just for our customers in mind.

So hang in there while my group of employes heads out west tomorrow…well, west from Kansas City anyway…to bring another great location to one of my favorite places. COLORADO, the Centennial State.

There’s only one catch: It’s my birthday on Sunday, and my favorite football team is playing on Sunday (which would be nice to see) and I’ll be traveling. It’s OK though, there’s no need to celebrate another “40 something” birthday; I’ve already done that. OK, maybe we’ll celebrate when I get back!!

Thanks everyone for reading, have a great night.

Ryan
