It’s been a busy week here at Mission Repair, and I’ve been working with several schools to offer Apple MacBook Air and iPad repair services. Did you know that we work heavily with school districts around the country?
On Tuesday, I visited El Dorado High School near Wichita, Kansas and they really have it going on. They stated that since issuing MacBook Air computers to each of their student, the graduation rate skyrocketed and the student involvement has been incredible. While listening to all of the creative possibilities that come from a school filled with Macs I pondered how my world might have been different in High School if I had such an opportunity.
I then took a tour of the El Dorado Middle School and each of their 6th through 8th graders are issued an iPad Mini. They use them daily in their classrooms to learn, study, take notes and take tests. They even take their state assessment tests on their iPads- it’s extremely interesting. They have charging stations and even a full time tech support staff on location. They offset these costs by NOT having to buy physical copies of textbooks for each student; of course the students have their text books on their iPads.
The school district is very proud of their achievements and status being featured as Apple-Centric and cutting edge. The student involvement and teacher interaction (I was able to sit through a class and watch the technology in action) by using the Apple TV in conjunction with the teacher used MacBook Air was seamless.
In a nutshell, I was completely impressed and in awe of the improved statistics regarding the “before” and “after” effects of adding technology to the education process. I knew that I’ve always liked Apple products, but even after my visit this week I have a new found respect for where Steve Jobs took his company.
We are also doing our part to help this education process and the Apple One to One school programs as well. Mission Repair is a proud vendor and repair center to many Apple One to One schools in the country and have been offering repairs and services to Education IT directors for years. We accept school Purchase Orders for our services and meet or exceed the demands of the schools in terms of turn around and price on maintenance. Do you know someone that might be in need of our services? Pass out information along and we’ll take care of them.
Hello friends, thank again for stopping back by the blog this morning.
We’ve been operating for the better part of a decade now, and Mission Repair started out primarily as a “mail in” repair center. We are in the middle of the country, with a huge technician floor, with room for expansion at our fingertips. We’ve often thought that we’d never go into the retail business (See: Mission Repair Express) nor we would actually cater to or offer a streamlined walk-in customer experience.
Boy was I wrong!
We of course have opened our first retail spot in Mission, Kansas and we have also reset and expanded our front office at our main headquarters with a customer waiting room, vending, television and showroom. This gives our waiting customers something to do rather than waiting in a small dingy crowded office space that used to be our front lobby.
What else have we done for our local customers? We’ve taken our website one step further and added “Customer Dropoff” and “Customer Pickup” to our shipping methods when placing an order online. This makes it easy- if you place your order online, there’s no need to wait when you arrive to fill out the necessary paperwork at our location.
You can place the order, pay for it, print it out and just drop it off at one of our locations if that’s what you choose. It makes for a much more efficient customer experience and you can even enter those coupon codes that you might have online before you ever arrive! Everyone loves a good sale!
Now there’s no reason to “pre-place” your order, but if you do, you’ll be a step ahead of the game when you arrive at our location. Thanks again for stopping by!
We’re working around the clock to get our new Mission Repair Express location done and open. In fact we are still ahead of schedule and with a grand opening date of 4/1/14, I’m almost 100% sure that we’ll be ready in just about 2 weeks. That means that things are going well with the build-out and these 12 hour days are going to pay off!
We have most of the sheet rock installed except for a few places that I’ve purposely left open for the wiring of the alarm and camera systems…and those are going in today!
The veins pumping data into our new Express location!
Now, all that’s left to do is “finish”. We are installing the remaining sheet rock, paneling, slatboard and countertops this weekend. After that the floor is going to be installed, and then I’m going to “install” a few employees so we can flip on the lights and unveil the world’s first Mission Repair Express…I have a feeling that these will start popping up all over the country. Ok, I won’t get ahead of myself just yet…one at a time Ryan 😉
So it’s back to work for me…thanks for reading and I’ll talk to you again shortly.
Have you recently had the unfortunate experience of cracking the glass on your iPad? I completely feel your pain x 3! If you read this blog on a regular basis, you should be privy to the fact that my son has cracked the glass on our family iPad 2, three times over. Ok, so one of those occasions may have been my wife, but I still can’t get an accurate story!
You understand that the thing needs to be repaired. Not only for the sake of using it, but for safety reasons as well. The glass on iPads are sharp and are not fused to the LCD like smartphones and other tablets, making it much easier for the glass to fall out and injure. However, you are also willing to wait on a good deal to come around!
I totally get it and am of the same school of thought!
It took me a good while to finally get going and fix our iPad and I’m surrounded by technicians on a daily basis that could fix me up in a matter of minutes. Just put some clear tape over it until Mission Repair runs another special. Why pay full price if you can wait a day and possibly get a discount? But sometimes that day turns into weeks and months or years!
How about we put an and to the waiting and get started on your repair today? To help this process along, I am going to offer a special blog reader only discount! If you email email@example.com, we will send you a 15% coupon code that you can use towards getting that iPad repaired! What better time to finally have your beloved iPad repaired than now?
This coupon is good for every model of iPad repair and for any service actually! So if you don’t have a broken price of glass, but do have an LCD issue, this coupon is for you as well! This coupon code will expire on 1/31/14 and can only be used once per order. So act fast and email us!
Melanie is back at it again, and she’s been filling the iPad Mini services to the brim with a full-list of products and repairs that can only be found at Mission Repair!
Well, OK, you might be able to find these repair elsewhere, but you know that Mission Repair is going to treat you right! We can take care of the iPad Mini – here’s a quick list of services that you can now obtain from my lab full of amazing technicians:
Head Phone Jack Replacement
Home Button Replacement
Lightning Connector Repair
Charging Port Repair
Power Button Repair
Volume Button Service
Camera Removal Services and Camera Replacements!
Why all the new services? It’s what our customers ask for and we are trying hard to make it easy to find the correct service fast and easily on our website. If it’s difficult, it might as well be impossible. I know that we’re not the only game in the business- but we are the BEST! Well, that’s my opinion anyway.
