It’s almost “sugar cookie hunting season”.

Seasons Greetings.

Now that it’s December, I know that it’s getting close to sugar cookie time! Here’s a VERY FLATTERING picture of me last year as Dandra pulled the cookies from the oven:

IMG_2360

December is filled with a lot of great “smells” in the Arter house. Sugar cookie scent is WAY UP THERE on the list of my favorites. The issue with these little beauties is that I can’t seem to eat an appropriate amount per “session”. I usually grab 2. Then stop back to 2 more…then a glass of milk…you can see how this is all adding up to an additional complete meal in my day.

Well, we’ve got a few “cookies” for you here at Mission Repair. Hopefully you got in on the savings over Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Those were a lot of fun. In case you missed it, we will be sending out some specials that will make you smile. Just like these cookies did for me. Check back here often over the next week or so and stay tuned…

Happy Holidays, Ryan

The iPad Pro – will it be for you?

Hello friends, Apple recently announced the iPad Pro; and of course we will be offering repairs for it soon here on the Mission Repair website.

There’s a lot of talk about who and what this tablet was designed for. Specifically since of it’s high price tag, that it could replace a laptop for high-end executives that travel, read the news, email, watch movies and work within their proprietary vertical market software. Again these devices are about $950 on average and there won’t be one in every household (in my humble opinion).

Jason Perlow for Tech Broiler writes:

“But if the iPad Pro is the future of computing, particularly for executive task workers and for high-end data visualization, then we really need to think about capacity management in the cloud and how we may need to re-architect existing LOB apps originally designed for Client-Server, now being lifted and shifted to IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) to minimize development, to scale as PaaS (Platform as a Service) in massively multi-tenant, public cloud environments.

Because without the Cloud, the iPad Pro is just a very expensive executive paperweight.”

I think he’s got some validity there, but even though I don’t imagine these devices selling like the iPad Mini where I see them in the hands of children, I do think that the consumer group that just simply likes a big screen will wait in line to have the next big thing. Is it for me? I don’t think so.

My son has the iPhone 6 Plus, and it’s a little too much. I still remember loving my iPhone 4S; but I’ve settled into my iPhone 6. Size does matter in the electronics world, and I think I’ll stick with my iPad 4 for a while. At least until I become a big important business executive that is!

Take care, Ryan

Ian comes from a customer service background, and I’m not kidding, he’s hit the ground running. The first day he was answering calls and jumping right in. I’m impressed.

You can email him here:

ian@missionrepair.com

Or the next time you call into the Mission Repair main line, you might get him on the phone. Ian has plans to move into the tech department at some point which I am truly looking forward to.

Thanks Ian, welcome to the team. It’s great to have you.

Take care, Ryan

Gesundheit!

Good afternoon friends-

How was your Labor Day? I had a nice relaxing day yesterday…all except for the fact that my allergies to the pollen in the Kansas City area have been terrible. It feels like I’ve been eating OTC allergy medicine for my meals recently 😉 The last couple of weeks have been a little miserable, and it seems like Sudafed just isn’t helping any more at this point. So I’ve upgraded to the pseudoephedrine/cetrizine combination which seems to be working…

Summer allergies.

So I think I have the itchy eyes and sneezing under control this afternoon which feels great! I normally don’t have this kind of “hay fever” this late in the year; it probably has something to do with the climate changes in the world today.

Anyhow, that’s enough about my medical problems for today and I’ll be back tomorrow with a few great blogs. I have the ideas flowing. Did you see Melanie’s blog earlier today about our new pricing on the iPhone, 5, 5C and 5S screen repairs? It’s been a huge hit.

I’ll talk to you again tomorrow, have a good night.

Ryan

iPad Screen Repair Center – yes, in your hometown.

Good afternoon-

Did you know that we can repair your iPad, even if you’re located in Denver, Colorado? But what if you live in Austin, Texas? Or maybe Atlanta, Georgia?

overnight

Mission Repair DOES take walkins at any of our locations with no appointment necessary, but the main core of our business is still mail-in repairs. In fact, we can pick up your device even if you live in Concord, California. We will take the guesswork out of mail-in services, and it’s one of the reasons we can keep our prices low. In fact, we cover the entire 48 States top to bottom and on a daily basis it’s good to get to know a customer that lives in Boise, Idaho. We chat on the phone, decipher what is wrong with your iPad, have it picked up from your location, repair it, and deliver it back to you.

There’s no better way to get an iPad, iPhone, iPod or other hand held electronic device repaired if you don’t want to battle the traffic, lines and congestion of a retail location.

Yes, of course you can stop by one of our locations and drop it off as well…But since we don’t have a store in every town across the country we make things simple by completing your repair remotely.

Interested in sending your device into us? Give us a call 866-638-8402 and we’ll be glad to help you out!

Take care, Ryan

Duck, duck, GOOSE!

Hello friends-

Tayler (you might have met her working at Mission Repair Express) was managing the front desk yesterday and saw a large bird walking by the front window…only to be followed by an entire army of geese that were apparently unafraid of the traffic, construction and people that occupy the downtown area of Mission, Kansas!

IMG_0959

This is an unusual sight for such a busy street. There are thousands of cars that pass in front of our store each day and it’s not a good place for wildlife in my opinion. These geese were unaware of the apparent danger…either that or they really wanted to do some window shopping in our neighborhood!

Speaking of window shopping, the City of Mission is starting a contest shortly that involves all of the businesses in the shopping district. This will really only apply to our local customers that visit us in Mission, Kansas however if you’re one of the lucky shoppers that enter a drawing (you’ll be able to enter at our shop – Mission Repair Express very soon!) the city will be raffling off $100 in gift certificates to shop in the downtown area every week.

Again, Mission Repair Express will be a “drawing signup location” and there’s no cost to enter the drawing. It’s just for fun and to boost your shopping allowance when you win! More details coming soon about this contest, we’ll be in touch.

Until then, take care, I’ll be back soon.

Ryan
