Back to school – I just had a moment…

Hello folks,

After my lunch with Brae, it’s Thursday afternoon and it seems like the entire country is going back to school right now; my son Casey was just in my office this morning (he had an interview at the Olathe Police department, kind of cool!) and we were discussing his LAST YEAR of school. He is going to be a Senior this year, and then like some sort of magic – he will be done with school and off to bigger and better things. We aren’t quite sure what that means for him yet…a career in law enforcement? Become a chef? Who knows for sure…but college is in his future and right around the corner.

What I realized is that I just registered my youngest child for his senior year in high school. This is it, no more school registrations for me! I can just remember when I was saying “I can’t wait until I get both of my kids into Kindergarten. That will be great”. Well, not only is my daughter already in her 3rd year of college (holy moly) but my son is finishing High School this year. Simply amazing.

I can tell that the entire country is in “Back to School” mode and it pretty much effects everyone, even those without children. I’ve seen a ton of Facebook posts today and many kids are starting back up already! Casey goes back next Thursday to begin the first day of his last year of school, and I know he’s 50% excited and 50% dreading that summer is already over.

We’re in the Back to School Spirit here at Mission Repair too. In fact, Melanie and I are working on a Newsletter that will release this afternoon with an awesome back to school special. We know you’re busy, and we can seen by our huge increase in orders that families are scrambling to get devices fixed before the school year (in fact, the school IT departments are back from vacation and sending in Purchase Orders like crazy!) and we want to help if we can. Our Newsletter special will help offset some of the costs that families might be incurring with all of the back to school madness. Want to be a part of the Newsletter blast? Just sign up here and you’ll get a copy later today!

Thanks again for reading everyone, and I’ll be back this afternoon in your email inbox with the Mission Repair “Back To School” special!

Take care, Ryan

What are you doing Sunday? We have a pigskin special you might want to read about.

Hello Mission Repair friends-

We’ve been in the news lately and even on NBC new last week. If you haven’t heard, Mission Repair (and businesses like Mission Repair) are offering safe and convenient repairs for your trusty hand held electronics (like iPads and tablets) and have been doing so for many years.

Did you stock up on Velveeta for this weekend?

Did you stock up on Velveeta for this weekend?

In fact, 2014 will start our 7th year in business…and the 2014 Superbowl is just right around the corner!

This weekend represents a couple of amazing football games. First, we’ve got the New England Patriots playing against the Denver Broncos at 3:00pm est. Brady vs. Manning; this ought to be a great game. Then immediately thereafter, we’ve got the San Francisco 49ers playing against the Seattle Seahawks at 6:30 est. Kaepernick vs. Wilson. Not to be outdone by the earlier game, this matchup promises to be equally as exciting!

If you watch football at all, you’re likely finding yourself already making predictions and leaning toward who you think will be in the Superbowl in February, even if your team has already been eliminated from the playoffs.

If you don’t watch football at all- that’s ok. Just take a glimpse of a game and pick the team that has your favorite colors – because that probably has more bearing on the outcome of these games that anything else. You get what I’m saying? It’s all up in the air and anything can happen!

Here’s what I’m going to do. Do yourself a favor and watch these games. It’s only two – or at least watch the highlights of the games. Whichever of these teams scores the most touchdowns…I’ll give 5% off of your new repair order for each touchdown.

So, let’s make this clear: I don’t care who wins or when. But out of these 4 teams, whichever team scores the most touchdowns (extra points, field goals, safety’s are not included) I’m talking the team with the most 6 POINT TOUCHDOWNS we will extend 5% off for each. For example, if the Denver Broncos score 7 touchdowns this weekend, we will offer 35% off of any repair on Monday.

So here’s the catch: watch the games and find out which team scored the most touchdowns this weekend. Then call us between 8am and 6pm central standard time on Monday January 20th, 2014 and ask for the FOOTBALL SPECIAL. This offer is valid ONLY ON NEW PHONE ORDERS MONDAY JANUARY 20TH, 2014. If you call before or after our operating hours on Monday, the special will be over! Additionally, you won’t be able to combine this special with any other offer. I mean, I’m really putting myself out on a limb here. 7 touchdowns is NOT out of the realm of any of these teams!! Denver has already done that in the regular season…so it’s completely possible.

866-638-8402.

What happens if there’s a tie between two teams? Will you be able to double your savings? No, but that would be interesting 😉

This is a potential boatload of money savings for you, and a great time to get that iPhone or iPod repaired. Hut, hut, hike!

Have a great weekend, we’ll be talking on Monday for sure.

Best, Ryan

So, You Received An iPad For Christmas?

Hello M:R Nation and New iPad Owners –

Congratulations on your brand new iPad! Whether this is your very first iPad or a replacement for an older model, you are ecstatic about the technology in your hands! This is a very understandable emotion to have!

Now, what happens if that technology accidentally slips out of your hands? As in, you drop it and damage your brand new gift! This is obviously not something you would like to think about at the moment, but it is an unfortunate reality of iPad ownership :-(. While there are many thoughts on how to prevent damaging your brand new iPad and many folks will go the whole life of their iPad ownership without said damage, I find that more often than not, if you have an iPad in your hands… it will be damaged at some point.

Cracked iPad Glass

My personal experience!

Now, that last statement I made could just be a product of my environment or maybe even my personal experience (3 damaged iPads later) but I think it’s important that you know what can and might just happen to your awesome new gift!

Ok, I think I have drilled the point long enough…but now what? Well, this is where Mission Repair comes in! We have worked for years perfecting the art of iPad Repair and we are well equipped to handle any iPad issue, BIG or small! We are your ally in this war against gravity and while we don’t offer much in the way of a gravity defying case, we are here to clean up the mess and make it right after the battle!

Enough of the analogies? Fair enough, let me give you some actual useful information that I think will be very important to any iPad user moving forward and please feel free to hand this out to your friends.

For starters, here is a direct link to our iPad Repair services: iPad Repair! Next, our contact information. Click here: Mission Repair and save us to your computer, smartphone or even iPad! It will be very useful to have this information close if you do happen to have an unfortunate spill! From start to finish, we will handle it with care and let only highly trained technicians complete repairs on your device. No, it will not be me repairing your iPad :-)!

iPad Air Glass Repair!

Hello M:R Nation –

The iPad Air is a phenomenal tablet. It has the looks, the function and the power that makes and Apple product… well, an Apple product. It is as thin as a pencil, as beautiful as the iPad Mini and faster than any iPad to date. An A7 chip and 64-Bit architecture will indeed do that for you.

When you spend $400-$500 on something, you expect it to be in the realm of awesomeness that iPad Air is in. You also expect to keep it for a long period of time and this is where Mission Repair comes in!

Cracked iPad Air screen

This is less than ideal…

We are here for you and your iPad Air and are prepared for any issue that you might have. Now, the most common issue that we have seen to date is the dreaded cracked screen. While the iPad Airs are still usable, it is very disruptive (to say the least) to maneuver around large shards of glass. It’s a dangerous game of “dodge the cut” everything you want to play “Candy Crush”.

While many of you reading this might not have a cracked screen just yet, let me just tell you that it is inevitable. My son has cracked his iPad 2 screen 3 times and that was with a case on it. It just happens. This is why you need to be ready and have us in your back pocket should such a time arise!

So if you are already in this pickle, here are a couple of helpful links to get your repair started:  iPad Air Glass Repair – Black and iPad Air Glass Repair- White. This will get you well on your way to a crack free iPad Air! If you are an iPad Air owner and want to keep us close, save our contact information (Mission Repair) and never hesitate to give us a call!

Cheers, Troy
