Great start to 2016!

Happy 2016!

It gets me every year the first time I write check (this time it was at Costco!) and I actually scribble the numbers “2016” on paper…it’s official, it’s sunk in, and I couldn’t be happier.

2016

So how did you spend your New Year?  Did you celebrate?  Did you go out?

I actually stayed at home for the ball drop, which was nice because it was pretty icy out and not worth the risk to drive with any potential roaming “party goers”.  So that felt pretty good.

The next day, I headed to the Hollywood Casino next to the Kansas Speedway with my mother and Dandra.  It’s a tradition.  Didn’t win much but I did have a mean “Cookie Sunday Dessert” at their awesome restaurant Turn 2.

Saturday was a day filled with getting caught up on the first 6 Star Wars episodes so we are prepped and ready to see the newest one in the theater.  Hopefully we’ll be able to catch a showing within the next week.

And yesterday was spent watching a little football (well, a lot of football) and what a glorious day it was.  It’s nice to get the regular season out of the way and now into the playoffs.  It looks like it’s going to be a great set of games.

Finally last night Casey and I were able to carve out some time to install his new radiator in his Toyota Tundra.  Neither of us really wanted to do it, but it’s done and his truck is running great.  You may remember my earlier blog about this!

Now that it’s “Back to Work” day, I’ve been enjoying a nice morning crafting a few blogs, taking care of some price decreases on the website and about to head to lunch for something tasty.

I’ll be back soon, but I hope your New Year Holiday was a great as mine, I’m feeling really good about 2016 for sure!

Take care, Ryan

Wake up and smell the coffee!

I’m up. I get it, it’s a little early (about 5am!) and I could be asleep. I don’t need to be into the office until 10am today, but sometimes I get my best work done in the middle of the night. It’s a curse and a blessing at the same time.

I can really attribute my excellent mood to my iced coffee and bacon today. The house smells amazing!

So for those of you that aren’t morning people (Dandra, you know who you are!) I’m here to motivate you to get up, get ready, and take on the world today. It’s going to be a great December 30th.  Check out the wikihow page on “how to wake someone up“.  #1 is to brew a cup of coffee!

For some of you, you already have tomorrow off. For even more of you, you also have Friday off. This could mean a lot of long weekends for millions of Americans so make today a good one.

So when I say “Wake up and smell the coffee”, I’m not intending to mean “Hey, try to pay attention to what’s going on”…I’m really saying, “Wake up and smell the coffee.” It smells great!

Have a wonderful day, I’m working on some end of the year tidbits for Mission Repair, it’s tradition. I’ll see you back here soon.

It’s almost time for Christmas Vacation!

Happy Holidays everyone,

I know that the kids are getting antsy in school, and the adults of the world that take the time off in between Christmas and New Years Eve are ready to get out of the office.

I snapped this picture in Branson this year while Dandra and I were out doing our Christmas shopping. They have a great Christmas light “drive thru” that is fun and has become a tradition.

To all of you that are planning on taking some time off soon, I’m jealous. Have a great trip wherever you’re headed. If you’re taking some time off of work just to have a “staycation” that even sounds better 😉 I like relaxing at home and getting projects done and  catching up on my TV shows too!

Happy Holidays, Ryan

iPad One to One – let’s share!

Hello again and Happy Monday!

Earlier I was writing about Apple’s 1 to 1 iPad program that is sweeping the Nation, but there’s a lot to think about when you’re son or daughter receives the device and heads home.

ipadlearn

We work with several schools performing iPad repairs for students (well, actually the parents!) that have accidents, and many of them don’t realize some of the caveats of their iPad agreements that come with the device. Most schools that disperse iPads to students include agreements and policies that bind you to some rules. It’s for a great reason; mainly to ensure that the school gets their device back each year…but again each school has different rules when it comes to damages and subsequently the repair that is needed.

When you find that your policy doesn’t cover breakages…give us a call at Mission Repair. We repair iPads for schools all across the country, but even more we repair iPads for parents that find themselves responsible for the repair. This can be for a cracked screen, broken charging port, liquid damage or other issue that happens in life.

Just remember Mission Repair, we have a customer service representative standing by just for you.

Take care, Ryan
