Veteran’s Day is almost here and Mission Repair celebrates!

Hello everyone, Veteran’s Day is almost upon us. It’s actually on November 11th each year, which means that it lands on a Sunday in 2012. When it lands on a weekend, the Federal Holiday gets moved to Monday so please be aware of that…there might be some businesses like your bank and the Post Office that will be closed on Monday November 12th. It’s these kind of holidays that sneak up on us so try to keep that in mind if you’re expecting that USPS package to arrive next week!

At Mission Repair we’ve made this holiday a pertinent one- we loan out our company 1968 Deuce and a Half to a local school for the day as part of the Veteran “theme” that they use. It just so happens that the school I’m describing will have their Veteran festivities and assembly tomorrow so I need to fire the beast up and get it up to Clear Creek Elementary School tomorrow morning before the kids arrive! It’ll stay there all day for pictures and as a rolling memorial to all of the Veterans that will visit the school tomorrow.

Last year at this time my father, Gary Arter, a Veteran of the Vietnam War was honored at the same assembly but was too sick to attend…and now that it’s been almost a year since he passed away this assembly and event has become even more special and I have a personal stake in making sure these kids understand that sacrifices that many have made to keep our country safe.

So if you’re lucky enough to see me driving around Kansas City tomorrow, feel free to give me a “honk”. You can’t miss the truck, it’ll be the ginormous vehicle that’s as menacing as it looks in the picture. If not, stop by our office sometime and I’ll give you a tour and take you for a ride. It sits in our warehouse ready for action!

With that being said, I’ve got a 20% off coupon for new Mission Repair customers that is good now through Sunday, November 11th, 2012. When checking out online, use coupon code “ARTER” to receive your 20% discount on any service or product we offer at MissionRepair.com remember this coupon will expire on Sunday night a midnight!

Thanks, take care, Ryan

Good Morning!

I hope everyone has had a great weekend. Mine included a a toy car, a toy car launcher and my eye ball… Ouch! I’m sure my 3 year old son didn’t mean to, but it definitely seemed calculated. Luckily my eye is feeling better today and I am ready for what Monday has to offer.

Wasn’t the Six Million Dollar Man Bionic? So is the new Motorola Droid!

Good afternoon folks, I’m just kind of messing around, but do you remember the old TV show, The Six Mission Dollar Man?

It was about a former astronaut with bionic implants and the title role of Steve Austin was played by Lee Majors, who subsequently became a pop culture icon of the 1970s. Fact is that I remember watching these on tv. Just plain awesome! So when Motorola came out with the 4G Droid Bionic, I naturally thought of Steve Austin!

Well we are now helping customers that have a broken Bionic phone (not a broken bionic man!) and it will cost you much less than $6,000,000! In fact our Droid Bionic Screen Repairs are only $109 for parts and labor. That’s a heck of a deal if you ask me…

Can you imagine this show running in 2012? Would it still be The Six Million Dollar Man? Or would it be The Six Hundred Million Dollar Man – due to inflation? Would there be a Federal Bailout for him too? 😉

OK, I’m outta here for now, we’ll talk again soon. Ryan
