Cyber Monday Specials? OK!

Hello folks, yes we will have a Cyber Monday special at Mission Repair. What and when is Cyber Monday? Well I’m glad you asked. . .

It’s the biggest day of the year for most online businesses (such as ours!) and we’re happy to be a part of this Cyber revolution.

Wikipedia puts it as:

“Cyber Monday is a marketing term for the Monday immediately following Black Friday, the Friday following Thanksgiving Day in the United States, created by companies to persuade people to shop online. The term made its debut on November 28, 2005 in a Shop.org press release entitled “‘Cyber Monday’ Quickly Becoming One of the Biggest Online Shopping Days of the Year”.[1] According to the Shop.org/BizRate Research 2005 eHoliday Mood Study, “77 percent of online retailers said that their sales increased substantially last year on the Monday after Thanksgiving, a trend that is driving serious online discounts and promotions on Cyber Monday this year (2005)”. In 2006, Shop.org announced[2] that it launched the CyberMonday.com portal, a one-stop shop for Cyber Monday deals. In 2010, comScore[3] reported that consumers spent $1028M online on Cyber Monday (excluding travel, 2009: $887M), the highest spending day of 2010.”

Since it’s a fun day to “celebrate” we’re happy to extend an amazing Cyber Monday coupon to get our customers excited. What is the coupon code?

Not yet my friends, it’s a Cyber Monday deal! Check back with us soon!

Mission Repair is expanding!

Hello all, it’s exciting here at the Mission Repair base. . .I just signed a lease to expand our business and I’m in negotiations with another building to open our very first retail site right here in Kansas City!

We are expanding our facilities!

So what does this mean for you? Well we are growing our tech department (we need several new techcnicians to start immediately, please see our available Mission Repair job descriptions here) – so if you’re looking for a job and qualify for one of our positions, please apply.

With more technicians, we can offer more services and at a faster rate – but more importantly can perform more repairs per day than ever before. With more customer service representatives we can offer our amazing service with even more efficiency. Business is great and we’re lucky to have the wherewithall to grow.

Is it time for another Open House?

Not yet – the expansion begins this month here at our service lab, but the real fun will be unveiling our new retail store. Stay tuned and we’ll be announcing a grand opening hopefully soon!

Did you miss the 15% discount that I’m offering this weekend? Not a problem, check out my earlier blog to get that coupon code!

Why pay for iPhone or MacBook Diagnosis?

Good afternoon friends, here at Mission Repair we’ll never charge for diagnosis.

I’ve noticed that there are many companies in the iPod and iPhone Repair market that are charging customers for diagnostic services. Since our inception, Mission Repair has offered FREE diagnosis on ANY product we service. This is just one of the ways that Mission Repair extends it’s value to the public.

Low on cash? How about a $0 diagnosis fee from Mission Repair!

When I see companies charging for diagnosis, it appears to me that they are trying to make money and have little or no confidence in their business. I get it. The diagnosis fee a safety net. It’s an easy way to make money…If the repair is not possible, too expensive, or just too aggravating to the technician, the customer still pays up to $25. I’ve seen it so many times before. Here at Mission Repair our customers never pay for diagnosis or diagnostics fees. If the device ends up being beyond economic repair, the customer doesn’t need to pay us $25 to tell them that. It’s just seems fair to me. I’d rather rely on my awesome staff to make sure the repair needed is WORTH paying for and we don’t want to bait our customers into using our services with a $25 commitment.

We continue to believe (and I say it on the phone all the time) that the customer always remains in control of the repair. We want the customer experiencing value and trustworthiness.

The bottom line is that we don’t want to stop customers from trying our services. This is why we continue to offer FREE diagnostics on your electronic devices. We don’t overcharge for repairs and our customers have the final say on what they are comfortable paying. If our repair price is ever out of the customer’s price range, they don’t pay. We also try to keep our pricing simple and provide all of our popular repair service pricing up front.

Whether you’re looking for an iPod to be repaired, iPad, iPhone, Apple Computer or Cell phone, we strive to remain the industry leader and a customer favorite.

Thanks, Ryan

Mission Repair Open House = Success!!

Hello everyone. It’s been a heck of a day here at Mission Repair. . .we are wrapping up our open house and we had a fantastic turnout of folks that flowed through from about 11am to 3pm. . .I didn’t have a formal count but every time I turned around there was a new group of faces waiting to meet us (100’s of faces today!). Thanks to everyone that attended and made this day a special one for us!! We started the day with a ribbon cutting and the entire company gathered up to take a pic:

After the outdoor event (what a beautiful day too!) we opened up the doors to the business. First stop. . .Mickey the Cotton Candy Man in the lobby. I was able to get first draw on some fresh candy:

Then we moved up to the Mission Repair cafe for a hot catered lunch and drinks:

Finally, as the grand finale, we gave away several prizes including the new legendary iPod Touch Gen 4 with Facetime. Yeah, it was a great event! To be brutally honest, when I organize these types of things it’s very time consuming and distracting. Sometimes I even wonder if it’s worth doing. Then the day arrives, the turnout was great, I made a lot of new friends, and we were even able to take in about 40% more walk-in repairs today than normal.

More importantly though, my employees were able to participate, take a little time to hang around during the workday and have a meal as a group. Without them, this business is nothing. As a business owner, it’s easy to get wrapped up in the stress of “business” and as we all know, life in general. It’s also easy to take your employees for granted – I know, I’ve been taken for granted and even taken advantage of by others I’ve worked with. Mission Repair is built around pride, confidence, understanding and trust. From my perspective, it’s how the world should work. I’m trying my best.

I want to give a special thank you to the Esau family for showing up as a force. It’s good to have “my house” filled with great people!

Thanks, talk to you soon, Ryan

P.S. That 20% coupon for repairs today is still good until midnight! See my previous blog post for details!
