This is a nice surprise.

Good afternoon!

I headed out to lunch today and needed to get some gas in my truck and I stopped at the Costco that is just around the corner from our Lenexa Store.  I was pleasantly surprised with this:

I know that there are a lot of pictures of gas prices on Facebook and random pics floating around the Internet, but today here in Kansas City at Costco, gas is $1.329/gallon.  That’s darn near the lowest I’ve seen since I moved here in 2001!

It’s an election year, so that’s got something to do with it, right?  I’m sure the Democrats want a “thank you”.  I’d also bet the Republicans would like to take credit.  I don’t know who to thank – nor do I really care – so I’m going to just give a huge “shout out” to the gasoline gods that helped make my day by only costing me about $21 to fill up my tank this afternoon.  I don’t normally mind if gas goes up and down much; but today made a good impression.

Speaking of savings…we are extending our Presidents Day Sale through Saturday – but you’ll only know the coupon code if you get our NEWSLETTER (HINT – another one is coming to you tonight!).  Hopefully you’ve already subscribed, if not, you should do so here!

Have a good evening, Ryan

I appreciate Apple, Inc. for standing up for us.

Good morning, this news hit the airwaves a couple of days ago, but clearly needs to be spread as far it can reach…so here’s a simple “repost” on the Mission Repair blog as I can personally appreciate that Apple, Inc. is trying to protect our privacy.  Click here to read the letter from Apple, Inc. as posted on their website.

Please pass it along, information is good!  Ryan

Just for your information in case you were stopping by our Lenexa office!

Hi there!  If you live in the Kansas City area, you probably know that there is a HUGE “GATEWAY” project that is currently under construction near the I35 and I435 interchange.  In fact, there have been an amazing number of improvements in the last few months, and traffic is already flowing correctly in many areas.

Now it’s time for the crews to move Northbound, and this will effect the roads leading to Mission Repair in Lenexa.

Typically, I’d tell my customers to exit I35 and go West onto 95th Street.  People in the area know this exit well and it’s very commercialized with Costco on the West and Sam’s Club to the East.  We’ve got the Oak Park Mall which seems to be busy year round, and it’s just past Sam’s Club.  I don’t know how people will be getting the East easily, but all of the businesses on the West have a real plan in place!

Starting next Monday, instead of getting off at 95th Street, our customers will Exit one more off ramp North on 87th Street, and turn West.  Then quickly turn right onto Marshall Drive and head South to reach our service lab.  Now this intersection may get a little busy for a while…all of the Costco traffic will also head South and drive right by Mission Repair…so don’t be surprised if you see me out on the road from time-to-time waving customers in.  We will have a significant number of new vehicles passing our location and I am really excited for that!!

Well I thought that I’d share this map and this info so you knew that not only are all of the businesses will remain open during this major upgrade to the Kansas City area, but I have a feeling it’s really going to spike business here at Mission Repair as we will be in front of more customers than ever before.  Thanks for reading!

NOTE:  If you visit our Mission, Kansas location, you’re in the clear!!

Take care, Ryan

Waterfalls in Kansas? Tell your friends about it!

Hi there!  As you may or may not know, Mission Repair has locations in Kansas, and we’re not just the “flatland” that you picture when you relate the the state.  The fact is that most of Kansas is FLAT and boring to drive through if you’re traveling across country on Highway 70, but there is a cool website that talks about some of the features and attractions in each state.  Here in Kansas, they are promoting a “Water Fall Tour” and have it mapped on their website!

I know for a fact that my California friends think that I live in a wheat and sunflower wasteland here in Kansas…but we Kansans have a few hidden gems up our sleeves.  I was intrigued, and I think that I’ll take the trip via motorcycle here soon.  I thought I’d share!

Have a good morning, Ryan
