Cracked iPhone 6? We know.

Hello there technology fans,

Well you’re probably a fan of technology until something like this happens to your phone:

SMASH!!

How in the world is this thing even still working?? Well, we do get in iPhone 6 screen repairs everyday and some of them are even worse than this. I feel frustrated for some of our customers that bring these in and say “I didn’t even drop it that hard” or “I put it in my purse and pulled it our looking like this” because I know that most people don’t intentionally break their device. In fact, most people claim that they didn’t even really know how it happened…

I will tell you one thing: with the cold weather arriving all across the US, it’s good practice to NOT LEAVE YOUR CELL PHONE IN YOUR CAR in freezing weather. We’ve done similar articles about leaving your iPhone in your car on a hot day, but the cold can be just as damaging. Moving a frozen device, turning it on, and taking it into a warm room can be disastrous.

I have personal experience refurbishing Mac computers. Many years ago, when I was the General Manager at a Mac Repair business, we used to purchase pallets of Macs that needed to be reworked. Well, we’d get them off of the semi truck in the winter, and wouldn’t allow them to reach room temperature before turning them on…and when we did this I found out that the yield was much worse that if we were working with “room temp” devices.

So, if you let your phone freeze overnight, just simply bring it inside and let it sit for 1-2 hours before turning it on. You’ll be much safer in the long run and FaceBook will still be there 😉

Take care, Ryan

Thanksgiving Holiday Hours

Good morning turkey lovers!

Just so you know, we’ve changed our business hours on our website for this week, and it is going to be a busy one!

Yes, we will be closed on Thursday of this week for the Thanksgiving holiday, but we also have limited hours on Wednesday 11/25/15 – we will only be open at our locations from 10am to 2pm.  This will give our employees a chance to close up a little early

Then on BLACK FRIDAY, the day after Thanksgiving, 11/27/15, we will be open from 6am to 2pm ONLY.

Black Friday is one of our biggest days and we’re going to start early, so if you haven’t already done so, it’s time to sign up for our newsletter now so you can get in on the Black Friday specials that only happen at this time of year!

The Holidays are here, and so is Mission Repair.  Thanks I’ve got some more fun stuff to talk about shortly!
