She sniffed me out.

One more quick blog before I head out to a Halloween party tonight – yes, it’s gonna be a late one!

I typically stay up pretty late into the evenings. Even during the week, I’m usually working late, catching up on my TV shows πŸ™‚ or doing some sort of project that I like.

Last night I was down in the basement late watching TV while the rest of the family was asleep. I heard a little rustling upstairs, and I knew that one of my dogs was moving around.

I quickly turned off the TV and the lights, covered myself with a blanket and sat very still and as quiet as I could trying to surprise whomever was coming down stairs. All was quiet until I heard a β€œhuff” and some “sniffs” in my face from the side of the couch. It was my German Shepherd Layla who typically finds me during the middle of the night.

She was in “search” mode and somehow without knowing that I was downstairs, she secured a dog bone for herself and found me. She was so proud of herself.

As I lifted the blanket from my face, I snapped this picture of her with my iPhone – I was ready for a pic as she’s normally very cute in the middle of the night πŸ˜‰ This whole post is just to show you a picture of my dog; sorry that it’s a little like sharing my family photos but who can’t love a face like this?

Have a good night, I hope you sleep well – and be safe if you’re going out partying tonight.

Dumb and Dumber Three

OK, I need to preface this blog post by saying I love these two guys. That’s Austin on the left, and my son Casey on the right.

These guys were both on my little league team when I coached them starting at about 7 years old – through their teens. They are both technically still teens (19 years old) but they think they are men. Oh yes, and they are both working for me as well πŸ˜‰

I asked these two gentlemen to take a few boxes over to our storage unit. Simple enough. But so far it’s taken them about and hour and a half to “load” the cart, and once they finally exited the building all I heard was screaming and a ruckus outside of the building that we could all hear from inside. It was hilarious.

I walked outside and was a little late taking the picture, but old “Harry and Lloyd” were juggling this cart and falling all over themselves. I needed to capture it for the blog.

So here it is, I just got done laughing, it was fun and I’m posting this blog at their expense. Good job fellas πŸ˜‰ In all seriousness, I love ya, good luck on the next load.

Funny, I feel the same way.

Hi again, it’s been a fun blogging day here at Mission Repair!

I was eating lunch at a new restaurant downtown in Mission, Kansas today and they had a “sandwich board” out front:

It was kind of perfect because I was just thinking the same thing about Mission Repair. We do want to make our customers really happy. Of course! Get it “Mission?” In Mission. About Mission Repair!

So I snapped this pic and wanted to post it. “Nuff said”. Unless you want to talk more about it, just give us a call at 844-459-0105 and we’re here for you!

Take care, Ryan

Don’t forget the time change this weekend!

Hello there friends,

If you live in a Daylight Saving Time zone like we do here in Kansas, you may want to try to remember that the clocks fall back Sunday at 12:00am!!

Why do we do use Daylight Saving Time? There are some pros and cons. Many countries use DST to make better use of the natural daylight in the evenings, and many don’t. The difference in light is most noticeable in the areas close to the Poles, i.e. furthest away from the Earth’s Equator.

Some studies show that DST could lead to fewer road accidents and injuries by supplying more daylight during the hours more people use the roads. Other studies claim that people’s health might suffer due to DST changes.

DST is also used to reduce the amount of energy needed for artificial lighting during the evening hours. However, many studies disagree about DST’s energy savings and while some studies show a positive outcome, others do not.

This Sunday, remember that at Midnight we are “falling back”…i.e. regaining an hour of our day!! If I was a kid, this would mean one more hour of “trick or treating time” in to the late hours on Saturday night. Actually that late I was just getting into trouble, so parents keep an eye out this Saturday evening and early Sunday morning πŸ˜‰

Good luck!

Ryan
