Don’t forget that we’re the Galaxy Repair experts.

Hello friends,

I get caught up talking a lot about Apple repairs (mainly iPhones, right?) and as I was checking in on our technicians today I saw an opened up Samsung Galaxy S6 and thought I’d take a couple of pictures and talk about it.

Once repaired, it's a factory job without complications!

Once repaired by us, it will be a factory job without complications!

Samsung has a lot riding on its 2015 flagship, and this time it’s put its best foot forward. With its super-fast, homebrew processor, a pair of great cameras and a surprisingly clean version of TouchWiz, the S6 is the finest Galaxy Samsung has ever made. Now, if only it were waterproof 😉

We use complete assemblies when we perform these services. That is we buy them pre-assembled from the factory with the glass, digitizer and LCD assembled from a clean room environment. There’s a lot of discussion about companies replacing “just the glass” on these units, but I’ve seen the work and NONE of them would pass our quality control inspection. Our customers demand the best, and we’re not into providing customers with flecks of dust, dark spots or “ink stains” under the screen. That’s just not right and our assemblies are flawless.

Now that we’re repairing the full-line up of Samsung Galaxy S6 smartphones, the demand for these services is higher than ever. Give us a call at 866-638-8402 and we’ll be happy to help you find the right service that meets your needs.

Have a great day, Ryan

My mind says “yes”…but my body says…

Good morning everyone,

It’s been 5 long days for me. Last Friday night, while goofing around and I was running I heard a pop, and felt like someone shot me in the calf muscle with a rifle.

I was down for the count.

Finally on Monday I made it to the doctor. An orthopedic doctor to be exact, and he said that I ruptured my calf muscle (there’s a technical term for it, but I don’t know it!) and he prescribed an “air cast” for it!

So I was fitted with this new “device”, given a set of crutches, and sent on my way. At least I can take it off for a shower!

Tidbits:

1. This most commonly happens in men ages 35-50. Check.
2. I’m not supposed to walk on it for 2 more days. I don’t think I’m going to be able to handle that.
3. I got the air cast from the doctor. I asked him how much it was, he said it would be $151 and most likely my insurance wouldn’t cover it. I got home and looked up the model number and found the EXACT SAME APPARATUS ON EBAY FOR $39…SHIPPED! So patient beware! Is our health care system corrupt? You be the judge.

So I’ve got a few more days of working from home, and in fact I haven’t been working much at all. Just laying around trying to get comfortable. Today is much better for me and I’ll make it…working from home that is 😉

Take care and be sure to stretch before you run. Especially if you’re a 35-50 year old male!

A lot of talk about the iPhone 6S.

Hello there friends!

So I’ve got my iPhone 6S on pre-order. I’m getting excited!

Screen Shot 2015-09-15 at 11.50.14 AM

Now that the new version of the iPhone is out, it looks like there will be a new trend here at Mission Repair and the iPhone 6S Screen repairs are being added as we speak (as well as the 6S Plus!) and we are gearing and ordering inventory as we speak. We’ve had calls from a few insurance companies asking if we are planning on offering repairs for these…the answer is…OF COURSE!

Why buy the 6S?

The headliner, the show-stopper, the fundamental reason (Apple thinks) you should buy an iPhone 6S: 3D Touch. 3D Touch brings another dimension to how you operate your smartphone. Using the new taptic engine, the iPhone 6S’s display can measure how hard you press down on it. Deeper presses on apps will bring up an option menu or provide short cuts. Two examples Apple gave were snapping a quick selfie with a deep press, and viewing a ‘Live Photo’. Sounds like I need to try it!

We are getting close! Vendors are offering 6S screens as we speak, and the other parts will be coming online at MissionRepair.com soon.

Take care, Ryan

This guy will come to my house to repair my iPad! Beware…

Hi again everyone…we hear it every day.

Yes there probably is a guy on some social media page offering iPhone Repairs and his advertisements sound appealing…

But when it comes down to a valid repair, can you trust a guy that’s working out of his basement or from his house? It’s possible I suppose…but in today’s world if the “business” comes to you, please make sure that they are bonded and insured for such activities. Otherwise, if something happens while on your property (or even in a “neutral” place), do you know who is responsible? YOU!

Also – please don’t ask about color conversion, Red, blue, pink etc. – because these are counterfeit parts and illegal for sale! I would most certainly stay away from anyone selling or touting illegal parts. Apple never made a pink iPhone so how is someone getting trustworthy parts for it?!?

Before getting too frustrated with your device, call Mission Repair, toll-free!

What you’ll find when you call these ads in many cases is a person performing repairs and services on the “side” and you’ll reach them on their cell phone – which can be ok – if you don’t mind risking your device to an individual that you might not ever be able to get a hold of again or worse – may damage your unit beyond repair and also take your money. With all of the scares about Craigslist and the number of police reports about fraud, thefts and physical bodily harm that can come from meeting someone on Craigslist or from an otherwise “shady” business…it’s just not worth the $10 savings that you might receive in my opinion!

The truth of the matter is that most of these “businesses” are NOT legitimate. Some are, but anyone doing repairs in their spare time and making money…needs to have a business license, pay taxes, provide receipts and a long list of other requirements just to operate LEGALLY. A legally operated business will stand behind their services, have insurance, a staff that will answer the phone, have a business entity established and reports their income to the IRS legally.

Think about it- if you deal with a person that doesn’t report their income to the IRS – which is illegal by the way – there’s very little accountability for them to do the right thing.

The point of this post is that we here at Mission Repair do operate “above the table”. That is, we do have an established business entity with a Federal Employer Identification Number, we do pay our taxes, we do have several physical locations, we do have a toll-free customer service line that is answered 7 days a week and we do care about our customers.

So how do we combat the “lower priced” guys that operate from their apartment? When confronted with an ad for a service that we offer that is lower priced the sell is easy- we just explain that we offer 1 year warranties, our Got Repair benefits that come with each screen repair, we are always available 7 days a week for our customers and that we encourage walk-in business without an appointment. The bottom line is that we’ve are approaching 270,000 completed repairs at Mission Repair and we have the talent to back up our claims!

If a customer still chooses to use someone on Craigslist, that is fine with us. However we have fixed countless “Craigslist Repairs” for customers. Buyer beware!

Ok, that’s enough bashing on Craigslist. In fact, it’s not Craigslist that is the issue, because I use it from time to time. A couple of years ago I bought my son’s vehicle on there and it turned out to be a great deal!

Last tidbit- it’s not always cheaper and it DOES pay to shop around!

Have a great day, Ryan
