That’s right. Apple released a new iPad Air that has brand new features and I wanted to take a moment to talk about it.
The new iPad Air is 18% thinner making it the thinnest iPad ever. Consequently, it is also lighter than the original iPad Air. The iPad Air 2 is also available in a gold version (much like the iPhone) AND offers Touch ID. This is the same function that the iPhone 5S has – users are able to unlock their device and various apps with the touch of a finger. According to Apple, they have redesigned the Retina display to offer even more vivid colors and better contrast. Lastly, this iPad has an anti-reflective coating – the ONLY iPad with this new feature.
Specs:
- Retina display
- 9.7 inch (diagonal) LED‑backlit Multi‑Touch display with IPS technology
- 2048 x 1536 resolution at 264 pixels per inch (ppi)
- Fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating
- Fully laminated display
- Antireflective coating
- Height: 9.4 inches
- Width:6.6 inches
- Depth:0.24 inch
Keep in mind, Apple isn’t promoting a launch date for their new iPads (they also released a new iPad Mini 3) like they do for iPhones, however they are expecting the new iPads to be available in stores today.
So will Mission:Repair be repairing these units? YOU BET. Keep an eye out for New iPad 2 Repair Services coming soon!
