We Had a Great Visitor This Week!

The business that used to be in our Mission Repair Express location was Gass Camera Repair who had been operating since 1960.  I had to think about that for a minute, that’s 54 years in the same spot, running a business.  All I have to say is “wow”…from a business owner’s perspective, that’s a success in my book.

While this was a cool read, something even more amazing happened this week! the Gass Family stopped by to see the new face we gave  the old place and I was able to take a picture of them by the “old sign” that Ryan referred to.

We enjoyed hearing a few old stories about the building and area and even a few jokes that Mr. Gass picked up after 60 years of marriage! My favorite being “I’ve worked this this woman for 60 years and there is nothing wrong with me yet” while twitching uncontrollably. this really brightened up our week and hope that the Gass Family will stop by as much as they can!

Mission Repair Express Ribbon Cutting = SUCCESS!

Hello friends-

After a long night and a terrific afternoon yesterday, I’m back to post a few pictures of our ribbon cutting ceremony yesterday. I was able to sneak in a picture with Mission, Kansas Mayor, Laura McConwell who also had her iPhone repaired yesterday as well!

And in the thick of the moment just before the ribbon was cut, I hopped onto our security system and took a screenshot of the lobby – it was a good test for our new wood floors and they held up great!

In fact we got several compliments on the space in general, added a few new customers, had a great time, ate some cake and ice cream and met many new friends in a city that we are now happy to call home. The heartfelt appreciation for the move to Mission, Kansas was a pleasant surprise and the Mission Chamber of Commerce was extremely helpful. They even took several pics of the event that you can view on their Facebook page here!

Thanks for the great turnout everyone, now it’s time for me to get back to work.
