Fedex is our carrier of choice- but watch out for that weather!

Hello friends-

This is just a friendly reminder that with all of this crazy winter weather we’re getting around the USA (already) has already caused delays with shipping and deliveries.

As of today, FedEx has posted on their website that they have resumed normal operations:

But please be aware that we have already experienced delays in shipping this month and with a new batch of cold and icy weather headed our way this weekend, shipping delays seem inevitable. We will continue to try our hardest to get your devices in and out as fast as humanly possible at Mission Repair– the rest is up to Mother Nature. I’ll do my best to keep her happy.

Take care, stay warm,

Ryan

So I was going to do a little shopping this weekend – I need your advice.

Good morning everyone-

Looking for that perfect gift? While doing a little research for my business Mission Repair, Melanie (Webmaster Extraordinaire) and I were discussing a 12 days of Christmas special rollout. So I a did an Internet search – to be sure – when the 12 days of Christmas began.

Well, I learned a little something today because for some reason I thought the 12 days of Christmas led up to December 25th. In fact, they BEGIN December 25th, and run into January! Well, Ok, you learn something every day. Then that got me thinking about the “12 Days of Christmas” song…which is really a Christmas list, right?

12 Drummers Drumming,
11 Pipers Piping,
10 Lords-a-Leaping,
9 Ladies Dancing,
8 Maids-a-Milking,
7 Swans-a-Swimming,
6 Geese-a-Laying,
5 Gold Rings,
4 Calling Birds,
3 French Hens,
2 Turtle Doves annnnnnd
A Partridge in a Pear Tree.

If I shelled out enough to cover the costs of everything on the list this year, those 78 items would cost $27,393.17, an increase of 7.7% over last year according to Forbes.com. So, while I do love my family very much and I would do anything for them, I’m not prepared to provide a $27,393.17 holiday. I’m more of the “3-figure” holiday investment kind of guy 😉

Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, I hope your December 2013 ends on a great note as we peer though the holiday madness into 2014. Stay safe and stay tuned.

Take care, Ryan
