Taking A Break

Hello Again M:R Nation –

I stumbled on a great scene today. It was two of our senior technicians Albert and David taking my advice from my last post and taking a break! The “new thing” here at Mission:Repair is actually a very old thing. The aforementioned David brought in his Super Nintendo and it has been hard to tear people away from it. Street fighter II Turbo is the game of choice around here, but I am trying hard for Super Mario Kart. I will hit up a pawn shop this weekend and see what I can come up with.

No, thats not an HDMI cable you see there.

While I would love to let these guys sit here all day and play away, there is too just much work to do. So they are now back at their desks working away on all the incoming Google Nexus 7s and Galaxy S IIIs. However, I feel like there is going to be a tournament coming up in the next day or so, so Albert better get to practicing. He got it handed to him by David on this last fight and I know Albert isn’t the losing type.

Its getting close to our Fedex pickup time, so its time to crack the whip and get these repaired devices back out to our awesome customers! I’ll be the one cracking that whip if you are looking for me.

Cheers, Troy

A Return To Prominence – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Edition

Hello M:R Nation –

I have been meaning (for some time now) to talk about the return of something near and dear to my heart. If you were a child of the late 80’s and early 90’s, you can relate. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or TMNT as the kids are calling it these days are back! I know there have some failed attempts over the past decade to bring these guys back, but someone finally struck a cord with parents and children alike (or at least with me and my son, Brae).

We eagerly await 10:00am every Saturday to watch the newest episodes on Nick. After the show, we will usually bust out the action figures and reenact what we just watched… Yes, I said action figures! The new TMNT action figures bring me right back to my childhood every time I get my hands on them. We are currently building up quite the collection for myself…cough, cough…I mean Brae.

Watch out for Raph!

As you can see in the picture above, my son has caught the TMNT fever pretty badly. He can’t go a day without watching a recorded episode, playing with the action figures or screaming  HIYA sounds at the top of his lungs. They say you pass things down to your children- genes, habits, belongings, ect… Well,I fully intend to pass down some of childhood favorites to my children, but it seems that I have been beat to the punch on this one. Now If I can only get my daughter, Kynlee on this TMNT  kick…HIYA! 🙂

What does this have to do with Mission:Repair, iPhone Repair, Tablet Repair or any of our workings? Absolutely nothing! But hey, you have to take a break from work at some point, right?

Cheers, Troy
