Casey got the mop trimmed!

Hello folks, just taking a break to write a quick personal blog. . .my son Casey is 14 years old now and is finding his independence. Last year he made the decision to grow his hair out which he did. He put up with the Justin Bieber comments, the extra time it takes to wash, the extra time it takes to dry, etc. I think that he’s got a good appreciation for anyone that has long hair at this point, and his wasn’t even that bad!

So last night I took him to batting practice (little league season is rapidly approaching!) and afterward he stated “I want to get my hair cut”. I asked, “Like REALLY cut?” He replied “Yes” and we headed to the shop.

Here’s Casey in the chair just about to get his locks trimmed:

No turning back now!

The hair destruction!

The final product!

I have to admit, I forgot what this boy (I mean man) looked like with a “normal” haircut 😉 He impressed me with his tenacity to grow it out and then in his own time he decided to cut it off. I hate to admit it, but he’s his own person and has become pretty independent. He’s such a good kid, I’m really lucky.

Well, there we have it. A haircut that was meant for baseball. Which reminds me that his games start in 4 weeks, I have to get busy!

Have a great weekend, Ryan
