You heard it here first. I was sitting at lunch the other day when it hit me. Yes, Mission Repair has an excellent reputation. Yes, we offer first-class professional iPhone and MacBook Repairs. Yes, we offer 24 hour turnaround and remarkable shipping rates. But EVERYONE is doing all this now, so how does a company continue to set the standard in the electronics repair service market? It hit me like a ton of bricks…we’re just going to set a NEW STANDARD FOR SERVICE.
What is it exactly that we will be doing differently? Everything. We’re mixing it up and shaking the entire foundation of this market with our new service. This is the reason that Mission Repair has it’s excellent reputation and customer satisfaction. We set the bar high and our “GOTREPAIR” launch on 3/1/11 is going to reinvent the service world. Just watch and see.
Sorry I can’t give you more now, but March 1st will be here soon. We will have the back-end finalized, running and solid. We’re going to need it for such a huge expansion. We’ll shake the pillars of the very market we helped develop. Hang on tight!
Hello everyone- that’s right. It was almost 60 degrees on Friday here in Kansas City. Relatively nice and warm, plenty of sunshine and the snow accumulation that we had pretty much almost melted off.
This is what freezing rain will do to your trees!
So a couple of days later and here we are. . .in the office, watching a Winter Storm Warning for our county comes to fruition. We’re under this warning until 6am Wednesday morning and here are the details in a nutshell from weather.com:
“FREEZING RAIN WILL CHANGE OVER TO SNOW TONIGHT. HEAVY SNOW WILL THEN OVERSPREAD THE AREA TUESDAY. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS BETWEEN 8 AND 14 INCHES ARE EXPECTED THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING. BLIZZARD CONDITIONS WILL BE POSSIBLE ON ALL MAJOR ROADWAYS. THIS STORM HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BRING TRAVEL TO A HALT OVER MUCH OF KANSAS AND MISSOURI TUESDAY THROUGH EARLY WEDNESDAY.”
So since you live in San Diego, this is not a problem for you 😉 But the rest of the country is going to be significantly impacted by this as is my business, Mission Repair. This is the real reason for this blog post – the simple fact is that Kansas City doesn’t normally get this kind of weather, period. I’m looking in to my crystal ball now. . .and I see many shipping delays and service failures due to this storm. At this point we are planning on “business as usual” and we have some backup systems in place. However in the event of wide spread power outage and freezing temperature along with the expected 35 mph winds will freeze a person up quickly. We hope that this situation won’t be too devastating, but nature has a funny way of causing a huge mess. Here it comes!
Well I’ll be back with more blizzard-related info as it comes.
Thanks, Ryan “Chilly” Arter
I’ve been coaching my son’s little league for many years now. However I think that I’ve taken him as far as I can with my relatively limited skills. . .together we’ve done a great job learning the game, being good sports, and settling into “his” position at 1st base. The fact is that he’s a very good player and has a knack and the right temperament for the game.
Casey at bat with his new hitting coach!
So I’ve given in and signed him up with a professional hitting coach. If there’s anywhere this guy can improve, it’s hitting. It’s just a little bit of a “pride stomper” for me. I mean, this is MY son. I’ve trained this guy from 5 years old until now (he just turned 14) and he’s doing well. It just takes a lot to give your son to someone else when you know that you’re no longer the best 😉
There’s no denying that I’m not a professional hitting coach and I understand that. I also understand that if Casey wants to make the Spring Hill High School baseball team next year, these lessons are only going to help.
Here’s to watching our kids grow. Don’t have kids? Well, if you’ve got a niece, a pet, or a plant and they all relate. Each takes a little nurturing and love until they are ready for independence. Yikes, he’ll be driving soon!
Ok, I just got back into the Mission Repair office and hitting my emails pretty hard. I’ll be back in touch soon.
P.S. Those are his lucky socks. Ball players are so superstitious!
Good afternoon all. . .how was your weekend? Mine was great, very relaxing and we finally had a chance to take down those Christmas decorations around the house 😉 Middle of January isn’t too late is it?
I came into work and I just wanted you to hear it here first – we launched our HTC Surround Repair services this morning per customer demand. These devices are very cool – you can slide out the speaker and surround yourself in sound. Share your favorite music and videos with your friends in virtual surround sound with Dolby Mobile™ and SRS WOW HD™. For added dimension and volume, just hit the surround sound button and take the party to another level. The HTC 7 Surround is designed to entertain with a fold out kickstand for hands-free viewing and hands-in-the-air fun.
The only problem is, when you drop it, the screen can break. Like this one:
Surrounded by a cracked screen ;-(
What good is “pop up cinema” with a cracked screen? It isn’t any good at all. My techs can have it repaired in 24 hours like this:
Back to movie watching fun 😉
So we are proud to bring you yet another repair from our Award Winning company, Mission Repair. Need a repair on a cell phone that we don’t have on the website? No problem, just let us know and we’ll get right on it.
Good afternoon folks, it’s late Friday afternoon and we just finished our newest server upgrade for our database and website at http://www.missionrepair.com. We took our old server to it’s limits – and enough employee “grumbling” I finally made the executive decision to make a major upgrade.
What does this mean? Well right away we noticed a huge speed increase on the database side. That’s the employee database which is also linked to the site and our customer data.
Additionally, just plain surfing our site is MUCH faster. Pages are loading and the site just “feels” better. This is a huge relief to me (I HATE SERVER AND WEBSITE ISSUES!) that the site up up, the database is in tact, and you, our customers, didn’t see any downtime. Well if you noticed the downtime it was minimal and I apologize as well. The site was only down for moments today and this blog is to let you know that we are 100% and running FAST. I’m going to go decompress now for the weekend and I’ll be back in a couple days with more great Mission Repair info.
Thanks, I hope your NFL team wins this week, whomever they may be!
