Hello everyone. Oh man, I can’t WAIT for Spring Break. Ooops. It was last week wasn’t it!! My kids are already back in school and looking forward to the end of the year. I think this was their last BIG break until Summer vacation. Good luck kiddos!!
I was hanging out with our Mission Repair Operations Manager, Troy, this afternoon and he showed me a cool little application for Extracting your backups from your iPhone. Per Troy, it’s easy to use and simple as 1.2.3. and he’s personally used it. The author is a freelance programmer, so if you use it, it’s OK to give a little. You’ll feel great about it even though it’s a donation in Euros. Yeah, you’ll need a converter if you’re USA bound like we are š
What does this application do for you? Per the website “This application converts the iPhone / iPod Touch backups that are created by iTunes into readily usable Mac OS X files. It is designed to run on “Leopard” Mac OS X 10.5 upwards.”
Per Troy he’s used it for getting pictures off his old back ups. Here’s his story: “The day my son was born, I took all of the āfirst pictures and videosā on my iPhone 3GS. About 2 months later when my wife asked to see these pictures and videos I realized I no longer had them on my phone! Through various restores and updates, I had completely wiped my phone clean. I had about 8 different back-ups to choose from on my iTunes and didnāt want to restore my phone 8 different times to find the right one. Luckily, I came across this application and was saved from the fury of my wife!”
I don’t know why this caught my eye, but I thought that I’d spend just a little time talking about it. So there you have it. Have a great week!
Thanks, Ryan
