Best stew recipe and 10% off your next repair order!

Hello all- I’ve been busy with a lot of business today. Mondays are always a little hectic. I stopped by my house this afternoon to check on my stew that’s cooking in the crock pot, and after taking a sample, am compelled to share my recipe. Here it is, for those of you that “NEED” the best stew recipe on the planet! It’s world famous 😉 and is dedicated to a buddy of mine, Mick Myers whom I’ve been teaching the ways in crock pot cookery. Here what it’ll look like before you turn the cooker on (picture from this morning)-

I made a “double batch” but you can always 1/2 it if you’d like. Add and stir all of these ingredients into the slow cooker that’s been coated with non-stick spray:

2 lbs. stew beef
1 large white onion cut into 1″ sections
4 large sweet potatoes cut into 1.5″ sections
4 slices of thick cut bacon, diced
2 cans beef broth, 14 oz ea.
1 tbs. dried thyme
2 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. salt

Cook this mixture for 8 hours on low or 4 hours on high. Then remove the meat and veggies. Turn the crock pot on high and add 4 tbs of cornstarch to the remaining liquid. Cook for 15 minutes until it’s bubbly and thickened. Cover the meat and veggies with this bubbly sauce and you’d got “Ryan’s Famous Sweet Potato and Bacon Stew”. Just right for a cold day like this one in Kansas City! Do yourself a favor and add some King’s Hawaiian Sweet Bread on the side and give it a try, trust me Mick!

OK, in honor of my favorite stew recipe, I’m giving 10% off your repair order good through the end of the month- that’s 10% your ENTIRE order, including shipping! Just type in “sweetstew” when placing your order online and you’re good to go. Good for iPod repair, iPhone repair, or any other repair we offer. Please remember that this coupon cannot be used in conjunction with any other coupon.

Thanks everyone, take care, Ryan

It’s Macintosh Computer Day today!

Hello there- let me give you a little bit of trivia. . .did you know that Its Macintosh Computer Day today? No seriously, it really is Macintosh Computer Day. It was on this day, 25 years ago that Steve Jobs introduced the first Macintosh computer. The Macintosh was the first successful computer to use a graphical user interface and a mouse.

I’m proud to be a Mac user and today I remind myself how much better life has been since 1999 when I threw my last PC in the trash! We run our business on Macs and it’s obvious when you walk into our office and see the Aluminum iMacs abound. All of our techs are sporting Mac Minis connected to flat panel monitors hung at their stations. Yeah, it’s very cool. Just think of the network games that can be had around here at Mission Repair 😉

Have a great day and enjoy your Mac – and if you ever have problem with your computer, just give us a call. We’ll be here to help you keep it running.

Take care, Ryan
