Back in town and back to bloggin!

Hello all, I haven’t posted much lately (sorry!) been doing a lot of traveling recently. I was out of town last week and spent some time with my sister down in San Antonio. Weather out there was great and I got my first “sun” of the year. Maybe just a little too much. We went rafting on the Guadalupe River in Gruene, TX and I thought that a few hours with my shirt off wouldn’t been an issue. Well I was caught up in making sure that my raft stayed upright (while also watching over my sister’s raft and my daughters tube). I took the helm while my father was in back with his “magic” rudder system. I felt like I was paddling while he was try to keep us straight by sticking his paddle in sideways which was like a boat anchor. After working the raft and making sure to avoid the “ROCK!” my mother kept pointing out every 27 seconds, I forgot that I was roasting. Ah well, we had a great time and I got a wonderful workout. Just a little tender still from the sunburn!

I also spent the evening with a couple of friends down in San Antonio on the River Walk. My buddies Troy and Anthony took me out to a fantastic steak dinner at Boudros. That River Walk is something else. Did you know that San Antonio has an entire city under the downtown area? Yup, you can’t see it unless you try to. There is a network of rivers and boat rides and thousands of people roaming UNDER downtown. It’s very cool!

OK, I’m still catching up on my emails and we had a record number of orders yesterday at Mission Repair (thank you!) so it’s now Tuesday and I’m finally getting a chance to get my blog roll rolling again. Ok folks, new specials coming out this week and I’ll be talking to you soon. Can someone pass me the aloe vera lotion?

See ya, Ryan

Listen Live to Air Traffic and $40 discount on MacBook LCD Screen Repairs!

Ok, I know that this post is totally irrelevant to most of you. Who cares about listening to your local (or other favorite) air traffic tower communications? Well, as a pilot in training, this information has become increasingly pertinent to me. This website, LIVEATC.net is a site dedicated to streaming tower communications with pilots all over the US. In fact, my small Johnson County Executive Airport (here in Olathe) is on there. What’s cool about that? Well on the days I fly, you can hear me chattering away on the mic, hoping that I understand the controller 😉

Here’s a link to my airport tower.

Just giving LIVEATC some props (no pun intended) for putting up a cool website that pilots and airplane enthusiasts can use.

That sparks a new special that my blog readers can enjoy. If you’ve made it this far, you get to save a few bucks on your next 13″ MacBook LCD Screen Repair (black or white models)! We’re taking $40 off our normal price of $229 all next week! It’s spring break for a lot of students out there, and this is a great time to get your computer back in great shape. We back in Kansas City and rockin’!

Hello everyone- OK, we made it back to KC late Sunday night and this literally my first chance to sit down and get a blog in. We spent Saturday evening with my oldest buddy in California Nolan Harding, and his wife Paige made some unbelievable ribs. We live in Kansas City, and we have some great BBQ ribs out here, but I have to say that I think she topped them all- yikes they were good!

Our Operation:Education Repair Program has launched! It hit the press late last night and we’re busy ramping the program up to support our nation’s schools. I’m really excited about this program as it really sets Mission Repair apart from the other guys. Check out the program and get your school signed up!

We are having some serious weather issues here in KC. My trees are starting to blossom, and then it dropped to 18 degrees last night. It’s just a little cool out to announce Spring yet, however my kids are on Spring Break next week! Hopefully it’ll warm up to picnic weather very soon. . .

Ok, wanted to say “hi” and get some thoughts on the blog this morning. I’ll be back soon with more updates. See ya, Ryan

We’re in California! The Apple campus is awesome.

So we’ve been busy all day, and it started last night on our way to CA from KS at about 3 am. We had a relatively uneventful day until our plane in Denver had a hydraulic problem that stranded us on the runway for about an hour. However Southwest got it fixed and got us to Apple in Cupertino at about 12:00pm at lunch time.

We signed in at Apple and got our badges. We were “warned” not to take pictures, but I was able to sneak a few in and around the courtyard. Here are a few items:

Here's #1 Infinite Circle in Cupertino!

I was able to sneak a pic of my partner Kyle in front of the Caffe Macs Diner:

Other than these, we were on lockdown (photographic wise). Sorry we weren’t able to get more but they have some pretty tight security down there! Anyway, we have several more Apple meetings tomorrow, but tonight I’m heading to Pedros Mexican restaurant in Los Gatos. Never been there? Just trust me, you need to try the Chili Colorado. OK, I’m pretty beat from the traveling and meetings- I’ll be back Monday. Have a great weekend!

Take care, Ryan
